Chase's POV
Going back to the part after last period!

"shit!" I shout as I run through the big crowd of students making my way to the front of the school. I finally reach it and scan the parking lot. I spot her and quickly walk over. A strong smell enters my nose and takes over my senses.

I close my eyes not being able to think straight. I'm reminded of stories that my mother used to tell me about a sertain smell that brings mates together. Is that what this is?

Opening my eyes again I start to follow my nose. The scent gets stronger and more intoxicating by the second until it gets almost unbearable.

Suddenly I'm in front of.. Maxime? She turns around probably smelling it as well. Her eyes slowly travel from the two bags in my hand towards my face, and when our eyes lock we both say.

"Mate"

She stiffens being just a surprised as me. "I.. I.. I've got to go" she says and grabs the 2 bags stuffing them away quickly and hops on racing out of the parking lot. The realization hits me as well.

She's my Mate! Somehow a happy feeling enters my body but with that also follows sadness and despair.

She hates me. How am I supposed to set this right. I've only been rude to her and even bullied one of her friends! I'm doomed!

"hey Chase! Are you home, helloooo!"

I jump up at the sudden voice next to me only to notice Jacob standing there. "you moron! You scared the shit out of me!" I say as I hit his chest

"Awww, is the big bad wolf scared" he teases me.

"fuck off Jacob" I tell him rudely. "I'm not in the mood for your shit right now"

He looks taken back by my sudden out burst but doesn't leave me alone. "OK what happened, you can tell me?" he says actually sounding concerned.

Feeling incredibly irritated I shove him back and start walking over to my car. "I said leave me alone!" my shout is heard through the whole parking lot. Jacob's expression turns hurt but he knows not to interfere with me now.

While i continue my way to the car I smell another scent, one I absolutely despise.

"Chaaaassseeee!" a loud and annoying voice sounds trough my head.

"Melissa go rub your tits on someone else's arm for one time and leave me alone" I comment rudely continueing my way to the car once again.

I feel 2 arms snake their way around my upper body. "aaww what's wrong babe?" Melissa speaks dangerously close to me.

Feeling my anger coming back again I take a breath. "I'm not your babe!" I tell her almost spitting out the words. "now get your hand off me and leave me the fuck alone"

"but babe! I can hel.." she tries to say something but I've already forced her arms of me. I turn around and look her right in the eye. She backs away and I realize that my eyes must be glowing because of the fear is visible on her face.

"is your brain really so small that you can't even listen so a simple request as leaving someone alone?" I almost growl at her

She turns on her heels quickly and I finally feel peace taking over my body. I get in my car and drive to my house.

Feeling way to stressed I decide on taking a shower. As I undress myself I spot the injuries making me think about her again. While standing under the shower my thoughts turn back to this afternoon and guestions start to bubble up.
