so this time I did it on purpose. I waited until today(9/01/10) to post the chapter. This isn't even the last chapter. I want to prolong it as long as possible so this was about Sam, her messed up family, and Greg. The next chapter might or might not be the last chapter. There might be two chapter before it officially ends.
Now that it's coming to an end. what do you think about a sequel?
Enjoy

GREG'S POV
I am always the one to give advice. I gave it to Dylan when he had trouble with Ashley. There was the time when I tried to convince Sam that she needed to talk to Dylan and Ashley after their fallout. I've turned into the wise friend of the group. For the first time since I've met my new friends, I don't know what to say or do.
What do you say to your girlfriend after finding out that her uncle tried to kill your friend and her family? As a result in saving them, your cousin ended up in the hospital. This Christmas break is just getting better by the hour.
"That's not fair! Grams, you can't do that! Ugh! I'll talk to you later," Sam yelled into her phone before hanging up on her grandmother. I'm really starting to hate her family.
I squeezed her hand as she tried to calm herself down. She had been arguing with her grandmother after she told her that Dylan was going to be okay. The conversation went sour from there and it didn't seem to last long either.
"Apparently my uncle told my grandmother that Dylan wasn't his biological son. He also told her that if anything happened to him that Dylan doesn't get a cent of the Haines fortune. My stupid grandmother agreed because it's tradition. It's all a load of bull," She explained after she calmed down.
"Your grandmother sounds like a real nice lady," I said sarcastically. It amazes me that Sam and her parents are the only normal people in the Haines family.
"I hate her right now! Dylan may not be blood related but he's still part of the family. He was born into the family after all. That money is his but grams is being a real bitch about it," she said getting angry again.
I was about to tell her to get help from her dad until she tapped me on the shoulder and pointed behind me. I turned around to see Ashley walking toward us. I figured she didn't want to mention anything to Ashley so I kept quiet as we watched her seat across from us.
"Where did Aunt Susan go?" Sam asked after she looked around the waiting room that had a few other people in it.
I looked around myself and noticed she was missing too. I hope she's doing okay after hearing the good news.
"She went to see Dylan. My dad should be around here somewhere. I should check if he's okay. You guys call me if you're going to leave the hospital," Ashley said before getting up from the chair and headed for the nurse's station.
I almost forgot about her father. The man seemed stubborn and stupid but at least he's alive and well. I can honestly say that my life didn't seem so exciting until I met my roommate. Life has just been full of surprises.
SAM'S POV
Damn family and their stupid traditions. Why do I have to be related to such a bitchy grandmother and a psychotic uncle? My dad seems to be the normal one and he's just a year younger than my uncle. He may dislike the Malones but not as much as my grandmother and uncle. I guess it was because he had no interest in my grandfather's company.
"The money issue is the least of his problems Sam. I doubt he would even want the money even if it was offered to him," Greg said after checking if Ashley was out of sight.
"Yeah you're right. He probably won't care as long as he has Ashley," I said as I got up from my chair and stretched. I felt like I was sitting down for ages.
I checked the time on my cell phone and didn't realize that it was getting late. It was half past midnight and I suddenly felt tired. The events that happened today must of really took it out of me.
"Want to go home? We can come back in the morning," Greg asked as he stood up and stretched. I couldn't help but stare at him as he stretched. He had muscles that were forming from working out at the gym. I must say I like what I see.
"Are you okay?" Crap. He caught me. I rarely do this.
"Huh? What?" Yes playing dumb is a good way to go.
"Never mind. So are you going to call Ashley?" Right. She said she wanted us to call her before we left. A text message would be quicker though.
"No. I'll text her from the car."
We left the hospital and headed for Greg's car. It was a hour drive back to my parents house. Greg wanted to spend Christmas eve with me and then spend the rest of the break with his family. Now that I think about it. He never talked about them. I don't even know anything about his friends back home.
"What's you're family like?" I asked as I sent a text to Ashley.
"Well my mom died when I was ten. I barely remember what she was like but my dad has pictures around the house so no one will forget what she looked like. My little sister is in her junior year of high school and taking advanced classes. She's one feisty little nutcracker according to her friends," he explained as he drove out of the hospital parking lot.
"Interesting. I'd like to meet them one day. What about your friends back home?" I said when my cell phone vibrated. Ashley had replied with a "okay. I'll talk to you later".
"I promise you will. My sister will love you. My friends? Well I rarely hear from them. They left town as soon as our high school graduation ended. They didn't want to end up like our parents. All our parents grew up together but they didn't have the option to leave," he explained. What awesome friends he had. I still talk to everyone from my high school days.
Our conversation went cold after that so I started to fall asleep. Before I finally gave in to sleep I grabbed Greg's right hand and held it in my lap. I wonder what would have happened if I didn't share a dorm with Greg. Would I have met him later on?
"I'm glad I met you," I mumbled as I was finally falling asleep.
"I'm glad I met you too." I felt him squeeze my hand.
That put a smile on my face before I was dreaming about him.
