Love Across the Stars {Doctor Who Story}

Chapter 1

I don't get it, Mom." I said, over the water running. "How can one man just, change appearance like that?"

She turned off the water and turned to me. "He's not just a man," she said, giving me the stink eye. "He's the Doctor." She said, fantasizing over him.

Suddenly, everything shook. "EARTHQUAKE!" Mom shouted. "ROSE!" Grandma shouted. She and Mom went under the table.

Great, the cabinet it is. I thought. I went into the kitchen cabinet below the sink and removed some soap.

Then a blue light appeared. "Rose?" Someone said. I screamed. "Alli!" Mom shouted. I jumped out of a cabinet and saw Mom standing still, in a running position.

"Are you Rose?" the person said again. It was a man. He popped out of the cabinet, waiting for me to answer.

I shook my head. "Nooo," I said nervously.

He stared at me for a while. "This'll have to do for now," he muttered to himself.

He grabbed my wrist. "Come on!" He pulled.

We ran out, seeing a blue police box with a huge lighting bolt just striking a weather vane on top.

"What's wrong with the blue box?" I said.

He gave me the stink eye, like the one my mom just gave me.

"It's not a blue box," he said, mocking me. "It's the TARDIS. Time And Relative Dimension In Space. The thunderstorm last night struck the TARDIS and the TARDIS could be destroyed, possibly along with me."

I studied the TARDIS. "I know a little about mechanics." I said. He gave me the stink eye again.

I climbed up on top. "Alli, no!"

I flipped the weather vane on top. Time unfroze and the lightning bolt went away.

"How did you do that?" He asked, looking confused.

"I'm not an idiot," I said to him, "I told you I know some mechanics. My dad's a mechanic."

"Alli!" yelled Mom. She ran out. "Why did you lea-" She looked over at the TARDIS and back at the Doctor.

She then properly smacked the Doctor. "Mom!" I said. "Don't smack him!"

She didn't listen to me. "Did you think you could go off with my daughter and sneak her off to your TARDIS?"

All of a sudden Grandma Jackie came out while mom was talking. "Now you know how I felt, huh?"

We all looked over. "Ah, Jackie. Looking her finest." The Doctor said. She went up and smacked him.

"You think you can take another person from my life and just go off for a year like you did to Rose?" She said.

The Doctor's face was a bright red. "Rose and Jackie-" He said until I interrupted.

"I got this." I said. "Rose and Jack-"

"Don't call me that!" They both said at the same time.

"I can since I can go travel and find my mom and dad. Bye Rose, Jackie. It was nice for the five years we had." I said.

I walked inside the TARDIS doors. My jaw opened right up when I walked in.

"Say it," he said. "I hear it all the time."

"Is that a PX473589 Zig Zag lever conbobulator? And is that a sonic screwdriver?!" I said, looking at the console. "Sick console! What software is this?"

Now he stood there with his jaw open.

"H-h-how do you know about this kind of stuff?"

"I should of specified my dad is a mechanic and a space pilot." I replied.

He stood there still. "Well," I asked, "What are we waiting for? Next stop, everywhere!"

I flipped a few switches and we were on our way.
