"Doctor," Rachel said, "promise me that you won't EVER leave me anywhere again."
The Doctor sighed. "Fine, I won't."
He stood up. "So, what should we do?"
"Doctor," Rachel said, with her Cockney accent, "can I choose this time?"
"Why should you?" The Doctor said, obviously trying to fire her up
She inched up toward him. "Because," she said, getting close to his face, "I was left in a field for five hours, with hopes, but not certainties, that you would come and rescue me. Also, because you need to work on your timings for landing."
The Doctor backed away. It seemed that he looked impressed.
He walked up to her and whispered in his ear. I couldn't hear him, but I think I saw what he said by his mouth.
You sound just like your mother.
I didn't even have to watch. I could sense a slap coming on.
3, 2, 1...
SLAP!
I knew it.
The Doctor rubbed his face. "Um, OW!"
"So, where should we go? I was thinking a really fancy hotel, or the world's biggest garden, or, OH! We could go to Mount Rushmore in America and do what everybody else does and do like we're picking one of the presidents' noses?" She said, talking really fast like he does sometimes.
He stared at her like we always do at him.
He went behind her and peeled her away from the TARDIS console. "Hands off the TARDIS!" He told her.
He turned to me. "So," he said, "where should we go?"
I pointed at the ginger who was bouncing up and down, her curly locks and bangs going up and down, up and down, up and down.
"WHAT???" He said, quite irritated.
She said, "I have a place we should go, and it's SO phenomenal, it'll rock your socks off."
The Doctor stood there, waiting for her to tell.
"Tsar Nicholas II, and his wife Tsarina Alexandra, plus their daughters Olga, and Anastasia, and Maria and Tatiana, plus their son Alexei-" She was rudely interrupted.
"No, no, no no and NO." He told her, quite sassily.
"Why not?" She said, sassily sassing him back.
"Because," he said, "we are not dealing with the whole royal family and the genocide of the family, plus the whole Rasputin thing where he never died."
I stepped up to the Doctor. "Remember when we all wanted to go to the moon, but you wanted to go to Mars and when we got to the moon, you had so much fun?" I said, making him speechless.
"What point and time do you want to meet them?" He said, finally giving in,
"At a dinner party. I want to get to know them." She said, running off to the wardrobe.
"Hey," I said. "Wait for me!" I followed behind her.
