You had been laid on your couch for most of that morning after your experience with Loki, you couldn't care less where he had vanished to, and you were not about to go looking for him on your day off, so you sat there, thinking. Just thinking of whether you should hand Loki over, and whether they'd even believe you, and more so whether you'd even believe your own voice if you said it. In mid-thought a knock came to your front door and considering the fact you weren't expecting anyone other than Loki to be playing some sort of trick on you, you really didn't want to get up, closing your eyes you began to ponder again before.

Knock, knock, knock!

Your eyes snapped open and a huff of anger struck through your body as you slid your legs off the sofa and padded on to the front door.

"Alright, alright already! If you're going to insist on living here why bother making me get up to answer the door, when you and I," you continued fiddling in the draw for the front door key, still assuming it would be Loki and then remembering you had thrown them in the pot, "both know you can find your way in here pretty easy!" You finished slamming the key into the lock and swinging the door open angrily almost hitting yourself in the face. When your eyes met with the figure in the doorway you was taken aback more than a little bit star truck.

You cleared your throat awkwardly fidgeting under his gaze, "Excuse me, sorry..." you cleared your throat again "hello and what do I owe this pleasure to?"

Steve Rogers was standing in your door way, with Tony Stark stood behind him, his arms crossed a small smile on his lips.

"She doesn't seem to be under any influence of the Tesseract," Steve said glaring into your eyes cautiously before proceeding with, "may we come in, miss??"

"____, her name is ____, Steve" Tony chirped up from behind moving to the side of Steve.

"Yes, I guess." You said confusion was evident all over your face.

"Thank you," Tony said giving you a genuine smile.

"I wasn't expecting visitors let alone, super her..." you stopped yourself from saying the rest of that sentence, maybe they didn't want to be called that, you thought as you offered for them to take a seat, "I mean..." you swallowed the lump in your throat and tried to hide your reddening cheeks.

"Captain, I think she seems pretty innocent..emphasis on pretty," Tony said winking at you turning yourself an even brighter shade of red.

"On that note, " Steve said eyeing Tony up, as if to tell him to behave, "I'm Steve, Steve Rogers and we need to discuss something with you."

"Yes okay Mr Seriousness, ____ come and sit down," Tony said making you feel at ease a little more.

"____ we have reason to believe an energy strike has been found on your back field, have you noticed any, unwanted strange unexplained experiences?" Steve asked in a soothing voice, that you didn't really want to lie to.

"Well, erm, I..." you struggled for words, did they want to know about Loki? Surely not he couldn't have been real, you had convinced yourself he was a mere figment of your imagination.

"Anything at all Ma'am?" Steve asked his American accent coming through more.

"Besides the fact Iron Man and Captain American have appeared at my door?" You chuckled trying to lighten the mood.

Steve looked at you with an urge of seriousness.

"Are you under the influence of any..." Steve began to question again.

"No I am not, I am perfectly sane!" You burst out a little louder than you had wanted to.

"We are only interested in your safety ____, I mean I know this is strange for you but you need to tell us, if you are being threatened in any way."
