Opposites [Supernatural Fanfic]

Mama

I wake up refreshed as I look at the clock, it is 3:00 in the afternoon. I stand up stretching just to pop my stiff muscles so I don't look like a walking stick. I take out my keys and hold them tightly "Gabriel! Let's go partner!" I yell waiting for him to pop in.

When he doesn't I groan in frustration. I get an idea that makes me smirk knowing what will bring him here faster than any angry father would. "I kissed a boy two years older than me!" Right on time, the sound of wings fill my ears and I smile at him. "You did what?!" He screams, but instead of the protective father act, he seems more like a mother who is all excited and wants every detail.

"Who was it? Was he any good? Did anything else happen? How was it? Come on Amelia answer my questions I need to know!" He says all giddy and quickly. I burst out laughing grabbing onto his shirt to hold myself up.

His smile drops as he realizes what I did. "Haha, laugh it up," he says crossing his arms and pouts like a child. I stand up finishing with my laughing fit.

"Aww I'm sorry Gabey, how about we go get food and get you as many desserts as you want. How does that sound little supernatural hound?" I smile ruffling his hair. "Bork!" He playfully barks smiling again.

"Great let's go!" I say grabbing his arms and heading to the truck since I brought nothing in. I almost forgot about paying.

I tense up thinking about walking into there again and see the lobby dude as seeing him brought me nightmares last night. Gabe must have realized as he puts a hand on my shoulder. "I'll go pay for the room, go ahead and start the truck up," he says. I nod in relief as I walk over to the truck and put the key in.

Once Gabe gets in I pull out and speed off into the almost deserted road. Gabriel instantly grabs onto the seatbelt and the car door for dear life knowing my driving.

I slow down seeing the diner called 'Mama's little girls' sign. I smile as I had once been here before as I saved the owner, Mama and some of her 'little girls' who are the teenage runaway waiters from a shapeshifter. Ever since she gave me and Gabriel free food, a place to work for money plus a home to stay in with the other kids. I pull into the diner parking into the empty parking lot other than 3 other cars. Gabe and I get out and walk to the entrance.

When we step in we see a teen waiter smile at us knowing who we are. "Mama! Amelia and Gabriel are here!" A blond shouts. Everyone loves the owner so everyone calls her Mama, she is a true mom to all. Just then a woman in her early 50s with grey hair and brown eyes who can pass as 30 with grey dyed hair comes out and smiles greatly. "Amelia it is so great to see you, come here let me get a look at you!" She grins.

I walk over to her giggling as this is the woman who I see as a mother. "Ah, you grew so big! Oh..oh I am so sorry about your uncle. Your father must be struggling so much losing him" she says. Did I mention that she is a psychic and witch in one?

"Yeah been tough since I last seen you. But I am doing well. Gabe here has helped me a lot" I say pointing to him. "Thank god an archangel is your best friend" she smiles. "Yeah, even when he is a pain in the ass" I smirk giving him a glance. "Words child! Anyways, why don't you two sit down and I will cook you up some of Mama's famous grill cheese. while you two discuss Lucifer's mission?" she smiles one more time before walking back into the kitchen.

I laugh before taking a booth nearest to the kitchen doors. "God I missed her so much" I sigh smiling. "She is the only person you allow yourself to call mother," Gabe says. "Yeah, she is one to me. Another reason I couldn't go with my father" I grumble. "He wanted his girlfriend to be my motherly figure when he isn't even my father figure. Don't get me wrong, I am so glad he is my father but it is just, he was gone so long. I have found other people to call family. He is just an addition" I say sadly but it is the truth.

Just then Mama comes out with two plates of our grill cheese but then she has three girls behind her holding out containers. That looks filled with food. Then she has two girls on each side of her holding plates of all kinds of sweets. "Here you two go Mama's special. Then I cooked ya'll up some food for the road" she says putting down the breakfast plates and putting the containers in a bag. "Then here goes dessert for you guys too so eat up and stuff up" she smiles as the girls put down the plates of sweets. "Mama, thank you so much," I say as my eyes light up seeing all the food. "No problem darling, your basically a daughter to me as much as I am a mother to you so I always gotta make sure my children aren't starving" she smiles looking at me.

I stand up and hug her tightly as she has no idea how much I needed to hear that. "Actually I do know" she laughs hugging me back. Once we let go the girls walk away. "Eat up, and here you go," she says handing me a box.

I open it and I see a bunch of hundred dollar bills together and beside that is a beautiful necklace with a black wolf carving in it. "Oh Mama I don't think I can-" "You can and you will, now eat your food. And keep that necklace with you at all times, never lose it" she says in a warning tone. I nod smiling as I fight back the joyful tears that want to break through my tough act.

"Thank you, Mama, I will," I say as she gives me a smile and walks back to the kitchen. I set the box down to see carvings in it but I dismiss it like nothing and I start eating. When we packed up everything into the truck we then drive off again this time Gabriel is driving. "So what were Lucifer's words exactly?" He asked. "He said Knoxville, Tennessee. Then Caroline, then Donatella" I say saddening at the look he gave me. I still can't explain the look.

"There is a road called Caroline that leads to a mansion I know of," Gabriel says still looking at the road. "Then let's go check it out" I smile as we might finally find out what Lucifer wanted me to find.
