I open my eyes to reveal I am at a large table. The table is big enough to hold your average four-person family. I am not alone though. Lucifer is sitting on one side and who is across from him is one of my old friends.
God stares back at Lucifer in disbelief. As always he is wearing a sharp looking suit with very combed looking hair. Lucifer is in his old vessel Nick as always.
Lucifer looks at God angry. I can just see the fire blazing in his eyes. "Who are you?!? And why are you in Amelia's head!?" He screams not able to detect God's grace. He sounds like an overprotective boyfriend.
God looks at me and I can feel his regret as he looks at his most favorite son. I had to be the one to console him that he did what he thought was right. It was a weird night for me to be a therapist for a drunken god.
"Lucifer this is Chuck Sherley. He is a prophet of the lord. He is able to connect to me in my dreams sometimes" I lie to Lucifer remembering what my Father told me about some prophet named Chuck that writes about their lives.
"T-that is th-the Lucifer?" God studders acting scared. Lucifer smirks looking at what he thinks is a puny human. I want to laugh at his stupid but I don't want to blow God's cover.
"Do not scare the man. Be on your best behavior Luci" I warn him using my mom's voice.
"Your friends with Lucifer?" God asks me looking my way. "More like besties!" Lucifer scoffs. I can tell God is trying his hardest to not to glare at his son.
I shrug to answer him. "You know me, Chuck, I like to befriend the usual enemy" I smile at him. God scoffs looking at Lucifer. Lucifer is too busy looking around at the rooms to notice.
The room seems to be in a normal house, wooden walls, wood plank floors. A desk with a typewriter and many pages around it.
"Well, Amelia you can talk to this stupid human, I am being summoned," Lucifer says disappearing.
God looks at me and sighs, I give him a small smile in return. "You became best friends with my rebellious son?" He asks me. I nod not trusting words at the moment.
"Good" he smirks standing up and walking to the typewriter. "W-what?" I ask standing up and sitting in a chair in front of his desk.
"I wanted to write about Lucifer's story for a while. But he did nothing that no one wouldn't expect. He causes the apocalypse, everyone would expect that. But what about he became a friend. A friend to a girl who didn't fear him. Who didn't see him as what his own father saw in him!" God says excitedly.
My jaw drops looking at him. "So like another bible yet not so holy?" I ask. God gives me a look but ignores my question.
"So God, what did I deserve this wonderful dream call?" I ask trying to read some other papers but he snatches most of them away.
"Well, I wanted to check up on you, been a while since we talked..." He says typing at a fast speed.
"You mean since you came to me in a dream and cried?" I ask smirking. Again I had a lot of weird encounters with God.
He gives me a glare and continues writing. "You know, Lucifer is a good guy. He is most like me" I tell him. That catches the Lord's attention as he looks up. I know God very well, he still loves Lucifer. He always wanted to know how he is but he couldn't. Now I can give God the one thing he didn't have.
"Lucifer is like a kid. He is sarcastic and dramatic when he wants to be. But he helps me, a lot. We communicate a lot during the day. I shouldn't be telling you this, but please don't change anything. His cage has a crack. I keep my mind very open so it is easy for him to reach out to me" I explain.
