*8 months later*
I walked through LAX, heading for the exit. Jay was waiting for me outside. I was going to be staying with him while I was in America.
I found security and passed it. There were a bunch of crowds around, but I spotted Jay leaning against the wall, looking at his phone. I hurried over to him.
He looked up when I got close. A smile spread his face when he saw me. Jay put his phone away and started walking towards me.
Jay didn't even say anything before he grabbed my face and started kissing me. I let go of my suitcase and grabbed Jay's shirt in my hands.
Jay pulled back and rested his head against mine, smiling and breathing heavily. I gently rubbed a thumb against his cheek.
He pecked my lips. "I missed you."
"I missed you too, Jay."
He wrapped an arm around me and grabbed my suitcase for me. "Let's go. We're going to get you some food."
"Buts it's almost nine o'clock," I said. "Are there going to be any places open?"
Jay nodded. "Of course. Have you had Chipotle?"
I shook my hand. "No. What kind of food do they have?"
"Burritos and that kind of stuff," Jay replied. "Do you like that kind of food?"
I nodded. "Yeah. I love Mexican food."
"Then let's go, JJ."
Jay and I left the airport and went to his car. He drove me to the nearest Chipotle. We ordered our burritos and we were off.
Jay took me back to his apartment, which was fairly nice. It only had one bedroom and it had a modern look to it. I dumped my stuff by the couch and looked around.
Jay went into his room and came out a few moments later. I sat at the table with Jay and ate my burrito. Jay sat across from me, eating his.
We made small talk, catching up with each other. I hadn't seen him in months and I didn't know what happened with Jay in those months.
After we finished our food, Jay grabbed my hands and squeezed them. I smiled shyly and let him rub my hands.
"You're beautiful, JJ," Jay said.
I smiled. "Thanks, Jay. You're not too shabby yourself."
Jay laughed. "I want to be with you, JJ. Are you alright with that?"
I nodded, scratching my head. "Yeah. I feel the same, but we live an entire ocean away. It's not the most ideal situation, eh?"
Jay bit his lip. "No, it isn't. We'll figure something out though. It'll work out, I promise."
"You haven't met my parents yet," I pointed out.
"You haven't met mine either," Jay said. "I can introduce you to them while we're on this trip. We've technically been dating for a few months and they want to meet you."
"Really?" I asked, surprised.
Jay nodded. "Of course. I've told them all about you. They're really excited to meet you. They think you're great."
I smiled. "Maybe I could meet them tomorrow."
"Sure," Jay said.
I yawned. "I think I'll head to bed. Where am I sleeping?"
"On the couch, I guess." Jay stood up. "Here, I'll get you some blankets."
Jay disappeared into his room. I moved over to the couch, which was quite comfortable. Jay came back with blankets and a pillow.
He gave them to me and I laid out them the way I wanted to. I stood to hug Jay goodnight. He instead leaned in and gave me a kiss.
"Goodnight," Jay mumbled, his forehead resting on mine.
I placed a hand against his cheek. "Goodnight."
Jay kissed my forehead and left me. I laid down and found a comfortable position before falling asleep. I was absolutely exhausted from all the traveling.
