One Shots [The Greatest Showman]

Time

Anne trudged through the streets of New York. Occasionally kicking small prices of gravel off the sidewalk. Her mind was flooding with horrible thoughts.
Suddenly being consumed in her mind she tripped over a small carriage tearing her apron.

    "Hey! Watch where your going freak!" The painful words burning into her mind, and whirling around creating a hurricane inside poor Anne's head.

   As the carridge bolted off. Anne was left in a dark and massive cloud of dust. She coughed and sputtered chocking on the dusty remains. She hurt on the inside and on the out, but she didn't care. Or that's what she told herself over and over again.

    In time she would leave her families house. In time she would be all on her own. She would have no one to run to, and no place to call home.  She was now eighteen. A grown woman, she could handle herself. Yet the thoughts of being unprotected and alone cut away at her confidence.

      Suddenly her train of thought was broke by a screeching buggy only meters away. It tossed and turned and slid trying to come to a stop. But it wouldn't, not in time at least.
      
        She scrunched up into a tiny ball  covering her head and neck. She prayed with all her heart. Pouring out her soul to God. Sure enough an angel came. A small yellow flyer lodged itself into the breaks of the buggy causing it to come to a haltering stop. Anne squinted in the smoke and dust that came flying from the buggy. Was she dead, was she alive! She patted herself all over swiftly. Yes she was certainly alive.

     As the dust cleared she stood up and slowly walked over to the smoking buggy and bent down. Sure enough behind the front tire fell a small slip of paper reading; "Odd persons wanted, Barnum's American Museum audition now, running out of time."

  Sorry for the short chapter! I mean short and sweet am I right. Extremely sorry for the long wait for a chapter I'm going to be posting chapters every other day from now on, puntil all the one shots are completed. Oh and this book has hit a great milestone! So happy we are now 3rd in Barnum books! Thanks 🙏 so much!!! Road to 700 views can we get there!!!
