Chapter eight

It was the trip. I got in my new outfit and wanted for Katie out side. Oh no I forgot about Pony boy. He walk out and came to me. I'm scared.

"Hey" he said with a smile.

"Oh Pony come on and I'll drive you to school!!" Cherry said when she pulled up.

"Oh ok." He said and drives away. When got there we went on the buses and to the mine. I was so excited. We go there and we play base ball while we waited for our turn to go in the mine. It was our turn and a yellow like train came up and me and Katie got in and pony and Cherry got in the car with us. I got scared. As we went in it was pitch black.

"I can see any thing!!" I scared.

"Stop it Sarah your scaring Cherry!!" Pony yelled me.

"Fuck you pony!! Fuck you!!" I yelled and it was quiet the rest of the ride and we learned all types of facts about the mine it was great. But then the ride on the train. Katie and I got in and we sat in a car alone but the pony came in and it was just the three of us.

It was dark again and I feel some thing touch my hand. Some one was holding my hand. It must be Katie cause she held my hand on the way in.

"Katie why are you holding my hand?" I asked but then light came on and I looked down. It was pony boy holding my hand. I let go cause I thought of Cherry. He tried to hold it again but I didn't let him. Cherry saw it and got pissed. As I walk to the bathroom to fix me hair she and her friends beat me up on the way there. Pony boy saw me on the floor and ran over to me.

"Sarah are you ok?" He said to me.

"Ya I think you should go." I said.

"What no I am not going to leave you!" He said. I didn't what to do so I did the worst thing I had ever done.

"Well I don't need you. Ok so stopped trying to be my friend. Cause there is no way you will ever be my friend. Get the fuck out of my face and leave me the fucking alone!!" I yelled and he got up ran away. As I watched him run away I cried. And the Katie ran up to me.

"What happened to Pony boy?" She asked me. She hugged me and I told her every thing. She was mad.

"We have to tell him!!" She said.

"No we can't tell him!!" I cried. She hugged me.

"Ok we won't tell him." Katie said.

"Thank you." I said.

We got on the buses and drove us back the school. Katie and I walked home. I was sad I can't believe I said that.

"I am gona go for a walk." I said.

"Alone." Katie said.

"Ya I need to think." I said and with that I left. I walk outside and bumped into some one.

"Oh my god I am so sorry!" I said.

"Don't worry about to, hey are you Sarah that came over to pony boys home to work on a project." He ask.

"Ya! why?" I said. He grabbed me and pulled me in to pony boy's house. His gang was there and pony was not there.

"Sarah" every one said and hugged me.

"Hey where's pony boy?" I asked.

"He went in his room crying. We have no idea why." Darry said.

"I do!" I said sadly.

"You do?" Soda asked looking at me.

"It's because of me." I said sadly.

"What did you do?" Two-bit asked.

"I need to talk to him." I stated.

"Ok fine." Soda said pointing to his room.

"Thanks." I said and walked to the room. I knocked.

"Pony boy it's me Sarah can I come in?" I ask.

"It's open." He said crying. I went in. He was siting on his bed curled up. I sat down next to him.
