I ran over to the edge and leaped down below. With Yang and Elyise already were already about a hundred feet by the time I jumped.
I'm not sure exactly what happened during that entire falling period, but what I do remember was this blinding flash of blue fire burning though the webbing, only for that same spider to quickly rush down and catch Yang and Elyise in a new web just before they hit the ground. Oh yeah! And then I landed in the web! But uhh... apparently I was too big and the web broke from my impact...
But I guess that was a good thing? Since by the time they were caught they were only ten feet off the ground, so when I landed on the web it stretch far down before it broke. So it broke our fall then?
"So umm... how do we get out?" Elyise asked as she rose up from the ground.
Yang who was exhausted from that whole debacle just yelled, "We don't!" As he continued to lay on the floor.
"But doesn't Levia have wings?"
"Well... I mean yeah, but they're only really capable of gliding...""And isn't she able to leap really fucking high? I mean she did last time, so surly she could be able to leap us out." I said
"Well yeah..." Yang responded, "but a lot of speed is required in order to do so. And she can only travel at the necessary speed while in the water."
"Well you're a mage! Just do your little 'magic' thing and conjure up an ocean."
"So, you sea, I would do that... but filling up this cavern that requires a significant amount of water to already be present in the surroundings, and a significant amount of time to pull it all up." Yang answered.
"So is that... just it? Are we stuck?"
"Yep! Now the only way to progress is through a conveniently placed dungeon for plot reasons!"
"Got damn that'sGot it!" Elyise cheered and started to shove everything she could in there (Even Aedyns nails again) but nothing seemed to work, until that is, a flash of light started to emanate from the satchel Elyise was wearing, then all of the sudden that wand she picked up started to levitate out of the bag and started to move over to the door.
"Oh great we try everything and it's the one that works does it automatically." I said irritatedly
The wand, or key inserted itself into the lock, and started to twist and turn.
After a bit the door opened and the wand flew inside the newly opened room
"ThAtS nOrMaL." I said nervously starting to walk into the room.
"Of course it is!" Elyise replied. "You make it sound like this is your first dungeon..."
"Well actu-." "Too late! Hole!" Elyise cut me off as her and Aedyn suddenly jumped down a hole at the same time. After a minute of them falling.
"Hey eirwol!" Aedyn shouted. "C'mon down here! It's the boss room!
"Y'know I'm the berserker, but you two are really reckless, and that's saying something." I sighed and jumped down the hole too. The fall down was pitch black, I gotten used to areas being pitch black after some time adventuring but still it was, distracting, at times, this was an unfortunate time for that though, because the hard ground on which I landed upon became even worst from being distracted by shadows. "OWWWW!! Dammit! My knee! How did that fall not hurt you guys?!" I yelled.
"Uhhh bubbles?" Aedyn responded. So the room we were in was dark, very dark and then, one by one these little torches started to light up revealing a circular arena
"where the hell are we?" I questioned until the oddly deep (not that deep) voice of a strange woman answered (she was standing in the only dim lit area of the arena so it was hard to make anything out of her shape)
"You three are starting to become a problem for me, but, instead of just straight up killing you, because that would be a waste, we're gonna have a little fun! So ladies and gentlemen, welcome the the crucible!" And as she said that a room that originally was just a dirt room with wood flooring began to shift; the walls rose up as well as the ceiling to show that the room was much bigger then it looked as the edges of the room were now giant benches with thousands of monsters lined up on all the rows, and the flooring in the expanded part of the room began to fold into the other parts of the flooring; it was a true technological marvel that I didn't even know was possible. OH and I forgot to say! The part of the floor that wasn't there? Instead it was lava! Because why wouldn't it be?!
"Holy shit." I exclaimed seeing all the change in such a small amount of time.
"Hahahahaha!!! Behold my wonder!" The light changed as well as to show (for now let's call her evil girl) s dress as a fancy and goth purple dress with some death sort of decorations. "Ha now in this arena you shouldn't be to big a problem against my pet." Evil girl whistled and then walked though a door behind her, plus from her whistling a big door behind us open and a large roar came from within
