The chain around my neck eventually loosened.
Pitch came in hours after the little act that he had shown. He seemed to be in a better mood, carrying a luscious red sleeveless dress that went mid thigh and hugged my body in the most perfect way.
Of course, he had to force it on me. Nothing that surprised me.
I trudged down the halls in my new dress, and without shoes. My feet tripped on a rock or crack every few moments and Pitch had to keep me upright. He would smile every time I clumsily lagged behind, but he did scold me gently to be careful and watch where I'm going.
I had began to argue, saying it's dark as hell but I decided against it, deciding not to anger him more.
Soon I had held my hand out so I could see, a small flame apparent in the palm of my hand and held out right in front of me. Pitch tensed for a moment, but calmed himself when he noticed I wasn't going to attack.
"So, where are we going and why? What am I doing in this stupid dress and why am I here and not still taking those test thingys?" I glared at him from the corner of my eye, my fire flashing a dark red for a moment before going back to a light yellow and orange.
"You're done with testing. It doesn't matter if you passed or failed. It was to distract you. Your little 'friends' aren't much of a problem anymore. So now you're stuck with me."
He smirked at me like he had everything figured out. Like he knew something that I didn't. He was on top, he was the boss, the king.
I was merely his pawn.
"You're here as bait, maybe a little bit of a push for the Ice brat."
I knew this since the start, so why am I still here with him?
"But what I do doesn't matter to you. Just don't do anything stupid and you'll probably come out of this without a scratch."
I glared at him with a sneer, my hands growing warm as I stopped walking, leaving him to continue a few paces before noticing I wasn't following.
"Your leaving me with more questions than answers, Pitch." I growled warningly, forming my hand into a fist so I wouldn't lash out.
He turned to me with a smile, his hands folded behind his back as he walked back to me again.
"That's the plan, is it not?"
With each step he took forward, I took two back, trying to keep a good distance between us.
"Stop running from me Love, you'll get the punishment required if you just do as I say."
He had an enraged look in his eyes, his hands and arms swirling with black sand.
At the sight of his powers my palms lit up like a Christmas tree, flames flickering high over my head as a warning for him not to step closer.
"I am not your pet. I am not your equal. I am not your property. And I am most definitely not your love!"
He sneered, than charged at me, falling through the shadows to distract me.
Instead of fighting I set a perimeter of light and fire around myself, depleting any shadows around me and walking forward, my head held high.
As I exited the hallway and entered a bigger room the shadows on the walls grew larger, and the sound of multiple people fighting sounded down a hallway to the right wall of the empty room.
The sound of Pitch growling vibrates around the room, making the sound of fighting in the other room stop, and footsteps run in my direction.
"(Y/n)?!"
"Bunny?!"
I ran forward, diminishing the flames and jumping into Bunnymund's arms, hugging him tightly and wrapping my legs tightly around his waist.
He hugged me back just as tightly, tears pricking my eyes as I was acknowledged by the rest of the group.
"Guys... h-holy shit guys I missed you." I sniffed, laughing sadly when I stepped away and wiped my nose with my arm, grunting when looking down at the dress I was wearing.
I snapped my fingers, my original white hoodie and mid-thigh shorts appearing in its place.
Jack walked forward, a smile on his face and with opened arms.
But I stepped away, my sleeves hanging over my hands as I hugged myself, a frown on my face.
His brows furrowed, a sad smile on his face as he took another step towards me again.
"(Y/n)..?"
Tears filled my eyes as I took another step away, shaking my head and seeing Bunny step slightly in front of me in the side of my eye.
"No, Jack. I can't..."
He gave me a desperate look, looking back at North for help. He only shrugged, a both confused and sad look in his eyes also.
"It doesn't matter right now. We need to leave." I shook my head, lighting a fire in my hand and walking forward, in front of everyone and leading the way.
I let Loki join me, telling him to lead the way as I moved my way to the back of the group and watching out for any problems.
A group of nightmares was following us closely, but wouldn't come near the fire that I had set around the group as a perimeter.
Except for Bella, she trotted beside me happily, also inside the perimeter I had set for us. She seemed to be mocking her peers, and the more she trotted and flicked her tail the more uneasy the group and Herd became.
(Like a heard/herd{?}of horses)"Can't one of you teleport of something? Bunny? North?" I groaned, hopping onto Bella's back and crossing my arms over my chest.
They all shook their heads, and I sighed in disbelief, snapping my fingers and making my staff appear in my hands, tapping the ground twice and letting us be devoured by flames, then a bright white flash appeared and we were gone from Pitch's lair.
