Izuku's P.O.V.
I was walking home when I heard a siren. And the closer I got to home, the louder and clearer the siren got. I was getting more and more panicked as I started running to my apartment building. Please...don't let this be true...let it be some other place!
When I got there, it was completely collapsed. There was Ambulance and Police there. I ran up to one of the men with a traumatized face.
"Have you seen my mother?" I asked him, but he was distracted with another man's report.
"Sir, we have found 18 people injured, 9 people in critical condition, and sadly, 2 casualties." My eyes widened in panic. Please let her be alive...!
"Who are the two casualties?" The first man asked.
"Here are the people's files." He handed the man a pile of papers.
"The first one, a woman, age of 34 with a son of 13..." I listened closely. It wasn't my mothers name. I gave a big sigh of relief.
"The next one is also a woman age 34 with a son of 13?" I looked back up at him.
"The name is..." My heartbeat got faster.
"Inko Midoriya." My eyes widened, and I fell to my knees.
"! Kid?...Wait..." His eyes widened. "What is your relationship with this woman?"
"Mom......Mom....!" Tears were falling down my face. "Mom!!" I looked at the Police man's face. He looked down at me with pity and sadness in his eyes. I asked what would be probably expected, with the situation.
"Can I see her?" The man nodded towards a group of medics. I walked over to them, and saw my mother's face. I smiled a little when I saw that at least her head was unharmed. But when a medic moved away, and I saw her body, I shrieked. There was metal poles sticking out of her chest and legs, her bones coming out of her skin, and all bloody and bruised.
I cried and fell to my knees again as they took her body away.
The police called my name, and wanted to ask me a few questions.
At the Police Office
"You must be the boy everyone calls the 'Emerald Reaper', that saved that boy named Katsuki Bakugo from the Sludge Villain the other day, right?" I nodded, then asked him a question.
"So...where am I supposed to live now? I mean, my homes was attacked and collapsed by a Villain attack, right?" His eyes widened. He never told me about any Villain attack, but the only way for a normal building to collapse, is for it to be brought down by something, or somebody.
"Yes...about that, we have payed for a weeks stay at an apartment near your school, and then after that week passes, we will let you move to another residence that supposedly your mother owned." I nodded.
"Here are the keys to your room, I shall escort you there."
"What's your name? I never got to ask you that. Mine's Izuku Midoriya, though you probably already know that."
"Naomasa Tsukauchi." He said, as he gave me a set of keys and led me to a car. He drove me to an apartment building, and dropped me off, waving me farewell.
I walked into my room, and jumped on the bed. I felt a piece of paper underneath me, and sat up almost instantly. I looked under me, and I saw a letter. I opened it and read it. It was short, but I was almost instantly wanting to know what it meant.
Dear Izuku Midoriya,
I am someone who is distantly related to you; a cousin to be exact. I have never had the time to visit your mother because I have always been busy with work. You have much more family than you know you do, here in Ikebukuro. I have long wanted to tell you about us, but I couldn't find the time to. I know that this is probably a bad time to tell you this, but if you come to Ikebukuro, I will be able to talk to you about this in more detail. I can also tell you about our tradition, which you will most probably not know about.
From, Izaya Orihara
I wanted to know what he wanted to talk about, yes, but the thing I wanted to know more about, was who he was. Just who exactly is Izaya Orihara? And why this letter be on my bed in my new apartment? Did he know where I was going to?
My eyes widened in excitement and anticipation. I wanted to go to Ikebukuro already, so I could find more about Izaya, my family, and this secret tradition. I smiled as I took a bath, changed, and went to sleep.
I looked at the note, and was hit with a new feeling of happiness.
Will I finally be able to protect the people I care about with this new tradition?
