Chapter 21- Exclusively

Kiro

This is the most peaceful sleep I had since my parents murdered. Sakura is still peacefully sleeping beside me. Nakayakap ng mahigpit sa bewang ko. Nakaunan sa balikat ko. I don't know when those pillows in our middle disappeared or how we shared one comforter when we had different comforter when I slept.

"Handa ka bang makita siyang hawak ng iba?"
Lakas mangaral ni Gab. Iba din kapag nasa tamang katinuan ang mokong.

I watch Sakura sleep. Her pink lips are partly open and I am tempted to kiss her. She looks cute like a Japanese doll.

Tabi tayo. Promise hindi kita hahalikan ulit. That's what she said earlier. Was she just taunting me? How come I don't know that kiss? Humigpit lalo ang pagkakayakap ni Sakura sa akin. Ang isang binti niya ay ipinatong sa hita ko. Fucking sweet torture... I can feel her.

"Don't go." She murmured.
"What?" Bulong ko sa kanya.
"Don't leave me..." Sagot niya. "...Kiro." She whispered.

She's dreaming of me? A slow smile sneaks on my face. Dahan dahan kong inayos ang kamay ko na nadadaganan niya. I slide it on her neck para makahiga siya ng maayos. She snuggles more towards me. I awkwardly put my hand on her shoulder and embrace her sideways. This feels right... Like coming home from a mission.
"I won't," I whispered to her.

It's already 7 am. I usually work by now but I don't have the courage to wake her up.

Kung sasagutin ko ang tanong ni Gab, hindi ko kayang makita siyang hawak ng iba... Tangina, hindi ko kaya.

Unti-unting gumalaw si Sakura. Inalis niya ang pagkakadantay ng binti niya sa akin at nag-inat habang nakayakap sa akin.
"Bango mo talaga." Sabi nito.
"Bakit nawala ang mga unan sa gitna?" Tanong ko kay Sakura.
"Malaking hadlang sa gitna eh." Sagot niya. She looked at me and smile. "Morning."
"Morning. Bangon na...madami tayong gagawin ngayon."
She wrinkles her nose. "Five minutes pa. Ang sarap ng pwesto ko eh." Lalong nagsumiksik si Sakura sa gilid ko.

"Can we stay like this?" Wala sa loob na natanong ko. The silence is deafening between us.
"Can we?" Sakura asked back. "I won't complain, Kiro, as long as we are together." She looked at me again.
"I'm afraid..." I said.
"Of what?"
"Of fucking up and losing the only family I have," I replied. I looked at the ceiling so I won't see her pity.
"You won't lose us, Kiro." She slowly moves and places a kiss on my cheek. I close my eyes to feel her lips on my skin.
"You won't marry him, won't you?"
I felt her smile played on her lips. "I won't if you will marry me."
A pained sound escaped on my lips like a wounded wolf in the dark forest.
"My life is not safe, Sakura."
"I know... I was behind the computer while you were at the field, remember. We are a team. Kahit ba kaunting feelings, wala ka talaga for me?" She hides her face in the hollow of my neck. Niyakap ko na ng tuluyan si Sakura. I felt her tears dampened my skin.
"You have no idea how I feel for you." I honestly said and kissed her hair.
"More than a sister?"
Bahagya akong natawa. "I won't have a hard-on with my sister," I told her. Natigilan si Sakura and her eyes were huge when she looked at me. Yes, Sakura...I am having that hard on now.
"Bumangon na tayo bago pa mapunta sa kung saan." Sabi ko. Mas lalong humigpit ang hawak ni Sakura.
"So, tayo na?" Tanong niya.Nakataas ang isang kilay. Papatayin nya talaga ako hanggat hindi ako sumasagot.
"Binabalaan kita sa mga kalokohan mo ha..."
"Tayo na nga?" Pangungulit niya.
"Kakausapin ko muna ang parents mo." I told her. She nod and smile at me. And like a thief, she presses her lips on mine. "Deal. We are exclusively dating." She murmured.
Kumawala si Sakura sa pagkakayakap ko at umupo sa kama.
"Now that we are okay, can we discuss what you wanted to say to me last night?" Tanong niya.
Nanghihinayang akong bumangon sa kama. "Okay...Let's have our breakfast first."

We discussed what Sakura found out about Rokuro Saito to Asahi. And we also told her that Mr. Song is looking for the masked woman.
"You better burn that masked before someone found it." Asahi said. "We are still cleaning the Triad and your information is a big help to us."
"Do not go out of this office, Sakura. We need to hunt Saito." I said to her. Tumango siya.
"Promise me?"
"Yes... Go... I will guide you." She gave me an earpiece. "Mag-iingat ka."
Naunang lumabas si Asahi sa meeting room. Hinawakan ko ang nanlalamig na kamay ni Sakura.
"See you later."
"Mag-iingat ka, Kiro."
I smile and kiss her lips. "I will."

Nag-iwan ako ng tatlong tauhan sa office para bantayan si Sakura.

"Ready, Kiro?" I heard her on the other end habang nasa kotse kami paalis sa office.
"Let's do this," I replied.
