Chapter 26- Marcus' love song

Isa-isang pumasok ang mga member ng Triad. You can see the rank by the way they choose to seat. Parang merong school program sa dami ng tao. I need to use a microphone so everybody can hear me.

"Good morning." Bati ko sa kanila. I remember my dad when he was doing a meeting with higher rank Triad official. He wore bullet vest under his suit. Now, I wore the same. But unlike my father who was blinded by friendship with Asahi, I know I will be alright. My family... they are around. They got my back.

"You probably know by now that Asahi is no longer with us." Sabi ko... Umugong ang bulungan.
"I shot him last night. He is a traitor in our organization. I have the names of his group." Lalong lumakas ang bulungan... Ang iba, naglabas na ng baril.
"I will give you a choice...Walk from that door, those that do not want the changes I want to implement. You will not be harmed but the Triad will no longer protect you as its own." Natahimik ang lahat.
"The Knights of the Leaders are on our tail. And I did my very best just to delay their hunting. Like the other mob from Taiwan and South Korea, the Red Dragon Triad is their next assignment. The only way to keep you alive is to make this organization legal."

"The Triad will now be a legal Org with legal clubs. No more sex slavery and human trafficking. This is the condition of the government. Those that do not want this, the door is open."

Someone, raise his hand. I remember him, one of my dad's apprentice.
"Good morning Kaede." Bati nito.
"How can we be sure that the Knights of Leaders will not hunt us after we surrender to the law of the government?" Tanong nito.
"I know... Because I am one of them." I replied.
"Traitor..." Sigaw ng nasa likod.
"You, who accused me of being a traitor, step out of the shadow." Malamig nasabi ko.
Nahinto na naman ang bulungan nila.
"I am my father's son. The heir of this organization. Accusing me of traitor will not save you." I said.

"I also wanted to have a selection of leaders in Triad... A voting system every 3 years will be enforced. I will step down as your leader and the organization will vote their new leader every 3 years." I said. Kanya-kanya silang discussion sa katabi. Isa-sang nagtaas ng kamay ang mga nasa higher ranks para magtanong.
"What will happen when there is no voting that will occur?"
"As I said, the Knights of the Leaders are on our tail. I will keep tabs on you... not as your leader but as a Knight. This is what my father wanted when he was alive. This is the only way to survive." I replied.
"Can we have a word with the Leader of Asia?" Tanong ng isa pang nasa higher rank.
"I am here." Tito Red said out of nowhere. Pati ako ay nabigla. Paanong nakapasok siya dito? I scanned the place and saw Gab and Tito Kyle at the far corner... They are on alert.
"I am Red Sebastian, the Leader in Asia. The discussion will end here, today. Ask what you want to ask, now." Sabi ni Tito Red. He is full of authority that sometimes it's scary to cross his path.

Natapos ang meeting bandang ala sais ng gabi. Napagkasunduan ang voting na gagawin, kailan ako bababa sa pwesto. Ano ang magiging papel ng Knights of the Leaders sa pagtulong sa kanila para masaayos ang system na gusto kong ipatupad. I gain the respect of the higher ranking officials. And they gave their respect to the Knights of the Leaders. Lalo na kay Tito Red...

"Sigurado kang gusto mong bitawan ang Triad?" Tanong ni Tito Ayano sa akin nang kumakain kami sa isang restaurant. Kasama namin si Gab at ang mga Tito.
"Opo. Conflict of interest po. Mas gusto ko sa Knights." I replied. Tita Abby beamed at me. She looks like a proud mom.
"Sabay ka na sa amin umuwi." Sabi ni Tito Ayano. "Baka pagbalik namin, madami ng nasaksak si Sakura. Umuwi ka na." Nagtawanan sila. Napakunot ang noo ko.
"Hindi niya alam." Sabi ni Gab kay Tito Abby. Umiling si Tita.
"Yung mga ex mo... Sasaksakin ni Sakura ng steak knife. Buti napigilan ni Violet." Natatawang kwento ni Gab. Nanlaki ang mata ko.
"Ayan kasi, bata...Magrereply ka kapag nagtetext sayo." Sabi ni Tito Kyle.
"Huwag mo ng gayahin si Marcus." Biro ni Tito Ace.
"Mababato ka din ng tape dispenser." Sagot ni Tita Abby.
"Ayan na naman yang lecheng tape dispenser na yan. Hindi nyo ba malimutan." Tinawanan lang si Tito Marcus ng mga kaibigan niya.

"Ayano, pasado ba si Kiro sayo?" Pag-iiba ni Tito Marcus. Mas lalo yatang nanlaki ang mata ko sa tinanong niya.
"Seryoso ka ba kay Sakura?" Tanong ni Tito Ayano sa akin. Natatawa si Gab sa tabi ni Tito Red.
"Opo." Nahihiyang sagot ko.
"Kahit huwag ka ng matakot sa akin...Sa nanay na lang." Tinuro ni Tito Ayano si Tita Abby.
"Huwag mong takutin." Pagbabawal ni Tita Abby.
"Ang payo ko lang sayo, Kiro... Kaunting pasensya dahil selosa sila...Manang-mana sa nanay..." Hinampas ni Tita Abby si Tito Ayano sa braso. Napa-aray si Tito Ayano.
"Kung saan ka masaya Kiro. Pamilya mo kami." Kung hindi lang nakakahiyang umiyak baka naiyak ako sa sinabi ni Tita Abby.
"Thank you po. Aalagaan ko po si Sakura." I said.
"Payo lang bata, kapag nagkatampuhan kayo...gaya nyan, dahil hindi ka nagrereply..." Sabi ni Tito Marcus.
"Paano nyong nalaman?" Nagtatakang tanong ko. Nagtawanan sila...
"Wala naman secret sa Country Club." Sagot ni Gab.
"Suyuin mo lang lagi." Pagpapatuloy ni Tito Marcus.
"Si Kath ba lagi mong sinusuyo?" Tanong ni Tito Ace.
"Oo naman. Kinakantahan ko pa nga sa gabi yun bago kami matulog." Sagot ni Tito Marcus.
"Ano kinakanta mo kay Kathleen?" Natatawang tanong ni Tita Abby.

"Kiki, do you love me? Are you riding? Say you'll never ever leave from beside me" Kanta ni Tito Marcus.
Nagtawanan kami. Pinakadiin pa talaga ni Tito Marcus ang pagkakakanta niya. Sobrang lakas, ng tawa namin, napatakip kami bigla ng bibig nang magtinginan ang mga tao sa amin... Si Gab parang nakapanood ng horror tapos nandiri.
"Ay sorry anak...nandito ka nga pala." Sabi pa ni Tito Marcus kay Gab.
