The day after Jimin's birthday, he was hit straight back to reality.

It was no joke when his mother said college was going to be tough. Indeed, he had to study every single day, and the moment he skipped not a day, but two, he was really going to have a hard time trying to catch up.

Jimin reached the library fairly early. It was after school.

He put his bag down and started revising his work. He sighed as he looked at the pile of notes he had to go though.

"Hey, why weren't you here during the weekend? I was waiting for you."

Suddenly, a voice all too familiar to Jimin said.

Jimin turned around,

Jungkook.

His face flushed at the sight of Jungkook wearing his round glasses. He looked incredibly adorable.

"I.. I celebrated my birthday..?" Jimin replied.

"For two days?"

"Ah.. no. I went for a sleepover with a friend for two days. I forgot that it was my birthday. It was him who surprised me." Jimin replied honestly.

     Jungkook frowned.

    "I see, alright then."

He took the seat next to Jimin as per usual and took out his laptop, starting on his work.

It was silent until he started speaking again.

"You know, I missed you while you weren't around" Jungkook mumbled while typing on his laptop, not looking at Jimin.

   Jimin's eyes widened.

  "Y-you.. what?"

His heart pounded. His face was turning incredibly red. What is going on? His hands felt clammy. Is that how it feels to be infatuated?

"Because at least you weren't some annoying girls that gets infatuated with my looks and flirts with me just to get my number," Jungkook laughed.

    Jimin's heart sank.
Ouch, that kinda hurt.

"Oh and, being a stubborn brat who refused to leave." Jungkook added on.

What was different between Jimin and that girl? He was too, a stubborn brat who was infatuated with Jungkook. Jungkook hates people who gets infatuated with his looks, doesn't he?

  "W-what?" Jimin asked, confused.

"You didn't take up the corner seat the last two days. This girl saw me and well, thought I was cute. She sat at that corner seat for two days, constantly bothering me. She kept flirting with me using lame pick up lines just to get my number and refused to give up. What's more? She didn't let me study at all, she just tried asking me all her homework questions to make me talk to her. On the second day I got so frustrated at the girl and actually study that I just packed up, plugged in my headphones, said I needed to go and left even though the girl was still asking me questions. "

Jimin suddenly felt a sense of guilt, and jealousy, but more of guilt.

He didn't manage to protect his crush from his rival.

"I'm sorry..." Jimin looked down on the ground, biting his lips.

    Jungkook smiled.

"Nah it's okay Jimin, I was just kinda mad that she took your seat and stuff. But promise me you'll help me get away from that girl the next time she comes, okay?" Jungkook smiled softly at him.

Jimin blushed furiously, oh gosh why.

   "I-I- p-promise." He stammered.

Jungkook laughed, and that was the most beautiful laugh Jimin had ever heard.

     "JUNGKOOOOKKKKKIEEE!!"

Not too far away, stood a girl.

She was around Jimin's age, long brown hair, with many piercings on her ears. She wore light blue contact lenses, and a bright red lipstick. Jimin wasn't going to lie, she was actually really stunning.

She screamed out the nickname of Jungkook in front of everyone, her smile brighter than anyone else in the library. She waved at Jungkook repeatedly, ignoring the "SHHHHHH"s she was getting from everyone.

"Oh my gosh, speak of the devil." Jungkook face palmed.

Jungkook and Jimin both stood up, and were about to run away.

However, she ran to Jungkook with quick steps and grabbed onto his arm.

"Jungkook oppa! I bought chocolates! Would you like some?" She was so focused on Jungkook, she didn't even notice Jimin at all.

"Hyunjae, I'm not your oppa, get off of me." Jungkook said firmly, pushing her hands away.

Jimin stood there, a tint of jealousy rising up in his throat

I would never get to hold him like that.

"Jimin, what are you doing? Did you forget about our promise?" Jungkook suddenly asked Jimin, his body language told Jimin that he was desperate of his help.

What do I even do? Jimin mouthed out the words while Hyunjae continued to grab onto Jungkook.

    come here!  Jungkook mouthed back.

Jimin followed and stood next to Jungkook.

"Hyunjae, I have something to tell y-"

"Oppa! You are going to sit here to study again right? You still haven't told me why you left that early yesterday! Come on, I'll sit next to you and listen!" Hyunjae dragged him to his seat and stared at the seat next to him.

  Jimin's seat.

"Ugh, who sat next to you, oppa? Whatever,"Hyunjae was still oblivious to the fact that Jimin was literally just standing a meter behind his own seat, and pushed all his books and stationaries away from the table, and onto the ground.

"It's okay. Go ahead, tell me about your day!" Hyunjae smiled.

Jungkook's eyes widened, in both shock, and anger.

Jimin stood there, his blood boiling as he tried to take in a deep breath to calm himself
down.

Did she really just throw all my books and stationaries onto the floor? Is she crazy? What the fuck?

Jimin was in complete disbelief.
    That girl was pretty, was.

Her actions were the ugliest Jimin had ever seen.

Jimin ran over and picked up his books and stationaries.

    He was enraged.
     Very fucking enraged.

"Excuse me miss but this is my seat, so may you please kindly fuck off?" Jimin asked in a sarcastic tone.

It had been years since Jimin used his sarcastic tone, now that he used it, he kinda missed it.

Jungkook accidentally choked on his spit and started coughing vigorously. He never knew Jimin could talk like that.

"And who are you? Ugly bitch?" Hyunjae replied.

Those words were all she had to say to set Jungkook off.

Jungkook stood up from his seat, clenching his fists tight taking a deep breath, as if trying to control himself.

"He's my boyfriend. Does that answer your question?"

Jungkook made an unbelievable statement, stuffing his things into his bag before grabbing Jimin's hand tight and pulling him out of the library along with him.

Hyunjae stood rooted to the ground, dumbfounded on what she had just heard.
