"Shit. Jimin we have to go. Get the others."
I had just downed a shot when I overheard Yoongi speaking to Jimin in a hushed tone.
Mae Sung, Jimin, Yoongi and I all came back to sit at the bar since our feet were killing. The two boys sat on the opposite end, discussing something that I could no longer hear. It seemed intense, since their faces remained rigid as they conversed back and forth. I was curios to know what had happened.
"Yoongi," I called, capturing both the boys' attention. Yoongi ambled over to me and cupped my cheek with his firm hands.
"Mmhm," He hummed as he stroked my cheek with his thumb.
"You guys seem a bit tense, is everything alright?" I peered up at Yoongi as I spoke. He smiled briefly as he responded.
"Everything's fine, baby. Something kinda came up for the boys and I, so we have to go unfortunately." Yoongi kissed my forehead before glancing down at me apologetically.
"What came up?" I asked, eager to know what had them so worried.
"It's just something between us guys and some others. It's nothing to be worried about, I promise. Do you want me to drop you and Mae Sung home?" Yoongi glimpsed at the both of us, and I shook my head.
"Take me with you wherever you're going."
Yoongi hesitantly turned his head to Jimin who had also came over to us, shrugging in response.
"Baby, I don't think it's a good idea for you to come. I'll just drop you two home, okay?"
I crossed my arms in denial at what Yoongi had said.
"Tell me where you're going at least!"
"Just tell her, it's fine," Jimin murmured into Yoongi's ears loud enough for me to hear as well. I stared at Yoongi, waiting for an answer. He scratched his head in uncertainty before continuing.
"Okay. Well me and the guys," Yoongi paused, glancing my way nervously before continuing. "We race...illegally."
"You what?!" I shrieked in horror.
"What the heck guys?!" Mae too, exclaimed in disbelief.
Yoongi brought a finger to my lips, quickly hushing me.
"Shh, don't freak out. It's not that bad." Yoongi persuaded in a low voice. Jimin nodded quickly in agreement. I gawked my eyes at the both of them, absolutely shocked at what I had just heard.
"Why the heck do you race illegally?"
"Well for one, it's fun as hell. Two, you get a lot of money if you win," Yoongi began, with Jimin further adding onto the list.
"And three, it's a great way to beat the asses of kids from other schools who display their irrelevant arrogance towards us. It's really fun to watch as well!"
I had no words. I was so appalled by how I never knew all along, and that illegal racing even existed.
But I wasn't going to deny that I was actually a little curious to see what it would be like.
