The scattered noises of the crowd filled the midnight air, echoing loudly in my ears after the race finished. All seven of us who had been watching, were left with no words or expressions to reveal.

"I can't believe it," Jungkook mumbled, staring at the dead track with wide eyes.

Jin clenched his hair in frustration.

"He never loses. What the hell happened?!"

"I guess he was too distracted by Ji Eun," Taehyung muttered to himself, causing me to spin my head right towards him.

"Sorry, what? You really think it's my fault?" I exclaimed in disbelief.

"Well before you showed up to his races, hyung never lost. And now look what happened." Taehyung retorted, rolling his eyes as folded his arms.

I scoffed at what Taehyung was sputtering out of his mouth. He could not be serious right now.

"Taehyung, you better be kidding me right now." I glared at him, who stared fiercely in return.

"Oh, I am not-"

"Guys, stop. It's not Ji Eun's fault so be quiet, Taehyung. Both of you, quit fighting over this, okay?" Namjoon placed his arm over Taehyung's chest defensively.

"Yeah, seriously. Yoongi won't be happy to hear you guys fighting, alright?" Hoseok added.

I sighed, immediately filling up with guilt and regret. Maybe Taehyung was right, was I a reason to Yoongi's loss?

"Ji Eun. Before you start blaming yourself, no you did not cause Yoongi to lose. It was Ji Chang who cheated and caused him to drift off the track. Don't feel sorry." Namjoon reassured, standing by my side. I glanced up at the warm-hearted boy who never failed to cheer me up, and smiled with gratitude.

"Thanks, Namjoon."

"Hey, there they come." Jin pointed at the black Audi that slowly drove past all the people booing and cheering loudly.

We moved back down to the lot where all of us had initially met up, crowding up against Yoongi's car.

Jimin stepped out before Yoongi, his face completely blank. When Yoongi got out, all of us briefly shifted in our spots, worried how to face him.

"Hey man, what happened back there? You were so close," Hoseok placed a hand on Yoongi's shoulder amiably.

Yoongi gritted his teeth as he gazed intensely at the floor. All I wanted to do was embrace Yoongi in a hug, but my legs felt paralyzed around him and my voice felt as if it was no longer present.

"The fucking bastard," was all Yoongi growled, in a low tone.

"How much did you lose? And why was the bet anonymous?" Namjoon questioned eagerly.

"I didn't lose money, I lost my place in racing." Yoongi was quiet for a minute, leaving us all confused before he went on.

"We bet that winner stays in the races and loser has to quit permanently. Since I lost, I'm out." Yoongi muttered, running a hand through his silver locks.

Yoongi was out of racing?

My heart began to feel heavy as I realized how much Yoongi loved to race. I could see the passion in his eyes for it, and it broke me to know he wasn't allowed back.

"That's bullshit, Yoongi. How can that be a bet? Why couldn't you bet on something better?" Taehyung exclaimed in anger and distress.

"Because I thought winning would be easy, and having Ji Chang outta here would've damaged his already shitty status more. But joke's on me. From what I head, him bumping my car like that isn't even against the rules, so I've kinda just lost everything." Yoongi leaned against his car, covering his forehead with his hand.
