Chapter 6 // A New Face

<Xiumin POV>

I was just about to head to my room when I heard the all too familiar sound of my solo: Shake blasting out of the corner of the living room. It was coming from a phone I did not recognize. I knew the phones of my fellow best friends inside and out, I even found out all their passcodes. This one must belong to Jangmi!

I quickly ran over to her to hand her phone back, I even tried to make a little small talk about my song. I hope I didn't make her feel embarrassed.  Who am I kidding? Of course she was, her face was as red mine probably. Real smoothe Xiumin…

Jangmi closed the door to her room that I was standing in front of and that's it. Our first conversation. I think… Anyway, I knew that the guys were probably not going to bed quite yet. They love to gossip from time to time. I began walking away from Jangmi‘s room and I could already hear them whispering.

Sehun: Well, she is definitely one of the more normal fans we have met.

Lay: What makes you think she‘s a fan? Any girl would have been flustered with 9 male roommates if you ask me.

Kai: Did you hear the songs blasting through her earphones? Man… listening to the song MAMA again brings back some awesome memories…

Chanyeol: She is so cute tho, such a sweet blushing face.

D.O: She has a sweet smile too.

Listening to all the guys complimenting her, made me feel really strange. I could only describe it as a feeling of worry.

Chen: Do you guys think she will open up to us soon? She seems so shy!

Suho: Not sure, it is hard to tell at this point. Lets just try and make her feel as comfortable as possible. So that means not setting of the fire alarm while cooking breakfast… Baekhyun…

Baekhyun: ONE TIME! IT HAPPENED ONE TIME!

Everybody exploded in laughter, even I did. But then as soon as the laughter started, the conversation went right back to Jangmi.

Sehun: She is really pretty.

Kai: Her hair looked so curly and soft!

Baekhyun: You've been awfully quiet over there Xiumin, are you okay?

The playful question caught me off guard. Instead of making up some sort of excuse like saying that I was tired, the only thing that came out of my mouth was a nervous giggle. And as I feared, everybody noticed.

Baekhyun: Whooooowhoooo. Xiuxiu is flustereddddd!!!

Chen: Awwwwww!

Soon enough, the group exploded once again into fits of giggles, oooooh‘s and awwww‘s and even theories! Oh my God… It really shows how everybody in EXO is just as good at fangirling as our fellow EXO-L‘s are.

Kai: GUYS! We completely forgot about the most important part… XIUMIN AND JANGMI! Did you guys see what I saw???

Lay: What? What? What? Tell us!

Chanyeol: You didn't see?! When she almost rolled off the couch over there and he picked her up with in his arms! It was so cute!

Baekhyun: It looked like something out of a fairy tale!

Baekhyun ran up to me and began pinching my cheeks, I knew I would not be able to hide my embarrassment for much longer.

‘’Guys! Guys! Please! Shhhh!! You're going to wake her up!‘’ I tried to keep my voice as quiet as possible.

For some reason saying that is all it took for them to quiet down. I guess they were so caught up with their gossip they had forgotten how tired they were after our last performance. Everyone slowly began stretching, yawning and getting ready to go to sleep.

After washing up, it was finally time for bed. I kept thinking of Jangmi the whole time. Maybe I can try to talk to her again tomorrow. I wasn't going to lie to myself. I agreed with everything that the guys were saying about her, as well as me.

Its strange. I know I only just met her, but when I looked into her eyes. I felt something I never felt before. Even Though she seemed happy to meet us after the initial shock was over, I felt like I needed to make her more happy.

Okay, okay. This is the plan. When we‘ll all go out tomorrow, I'll talk to her. No more shy guy.
