Colleen and I spent that whole night texting. I learned so much about her. I learned about her career, family, etc. I really hope I get the job.

It's a few weeks later and I'm just relaxing at home with Makenna when my phone rings. I look at the caller ID 'Colleen Ballinger 👋' I smile softly to myself as I look at the screen.
"Sorry baby I have to take this." I say and get up and leave the room. I run upstairs to our bedroom and answer the call.
"Hey Colleen, what's up?!" I ask.
"Oh nothing much.... EXCEPT YOU GOT THE JOB" she says sounding sad then excited.
"Oh my gosh really?!" I ask out of surprise.
"Yeah! As soon as you walked in the room I could already tell you would make an amazing patrick."
"Aww I'm so happy I got the part." I mumble. She softly giggles.
"We start next month in Canada. I'll send you the address and all that later. Wanna hang out later to celebrate?" She asks.
"Sure!" I reply.
"Ok well I'll let you go. See you soon!"
"Bye!" I hang up. At this point I was smiling so much my cheeks hurt. I got the job! We are hanging out later tonight! Wait... is this a date? No it can't be. It's probably a get to know you dinner. We already did that through text though. Maybe it's just work stuff. I don't know. All I know is that I'm super excited. I calm myself down and go back down stairs to Makenna.
"So did you get it?" She asks. I nod my head.
"Yay baby I'm so proud of you!" She cheers.
"I can't make dinner tonight tho. My new boss and I are meeting up for dinner to discuss the show." I say to her.
"Ok. Will you still be local when you film?" She asks. I shake my head.
"Sorry. All I know that the filming is in Canada and we start next month." I reply. She nods. We spend the rest of the day watching TV and cuddling together. I get a text from Colleen. It read:
C: dinner at 7?
I reply:
E: yeah! 7 is perfect see you then!
I put my phone down and head back upstairs to get ready. Let's just say I probably should have brought my phone upstairs with me....

I go into the bedroom and begin to get ready. What do I wear for this type of thing. I don't even know what kind of dinner this is. I end up putting on a button down shirt and black skinny jeans. I comb my hair and head downstairs. I go back into the living room to find Makenna acting different.
"I have to go babe." I say and kiss her on the cheek.
"Ok bye" she says annoyed. I sit down next to her.
"Baby what's wrong?" Ask concerned.
"Nothing. Just go. I need time to think. We will talk when you get home." She says then walks upstairs. I shrug it off and go out to my car. I begin to drive to Colleen's house.

I get out of my car and walk up to the door. I ring the door bell and after a few moments Colleen answers.
"Hey! I'm so glad you could make it!" She opens her arms for a hug. I hug her back.
"So where's everyone else?" I ask.
"Oh... it's just us. I hope your ok with that." She says sounding a bit disappointed.
"Yeah that's totally fine." I reply smiling. We take a seat at her table. She had made spaghetti for us. I scoop myself some and she scoops some for herself. After a few minutes of small talk a man comes into the room.
"Hey sweetheart. Who's this?" He asks.
"Oh! That's Erik. He's the person who is playing Patrick on my new show. We are just talking about show stuff." She says to him smiling. He pecks her on the lips.
"Erik, this is my husband Josh." She introduces him.
"Hey" I say. He just ignores me and turns back to her.
"I'm gonna go to Matt and Rebecca's house. I'll be back later. I love you." He kisses the top of her head.
"Ok. I love you too." She replies and he is out the door.
"Sorry about him. He can be a real ass sometimes." She says with a small laugh like she is trying to hide something.
"I know it's none of my business and you don't have to answer if you don't want to or feel comfortable but are you ok?" I ask with sympathy. She shakes her head no.
"I'll tell you another time." She smiles softly. I nod.
"Right now I wanna talk to you about something else tho. She continues.
"Sure. What is it?"
"Well in the show there are a few moments between Patrick and Miranda that are love scenes and there is a scene where we kiss..... I was wondering if you felt comfortable with that."
"Yeah totally. I've done some on screen kisses before. I wouldn't mind" I give her a smile of comfort.
"Ok good" she sighs with a smile.

We continue to talk for a few hours then I head home. Back to Makenna. To be honest I kinda forgot all about her acting weird. I open our front door to find her crying on our couch. I go over to her and start to rub her back. She then leans into me and continues to cry.
"Baby... what's wrong?" I ask her.
"Are you cheating on me?" She asks. That broke my heart. I would never cheat on her.
"No baby... why would you think that?"
"I was looking through your phone while you were upstairs getting ready and it just really seemed like it."
"Babe... she's married and I'm dating you. It was just a dinner talking about the show tonight. She's just a new friend and my new boss." She sighs.
"Ok. I believe you. I just don't wanna lose you." She says. I don't say and word and continue to hug her. I don't wanna lie to her. I wanna stay with her forever but I feel the connection is being lost.
"Come on lets go upstairs. Maybe have some fun if your up to it?" I swear I would do anything to cheer her up. I don't think it will feel right tonight but if she wants to I'll do it. She nods. We head upstairs and 'get ready for bed'.
