"Love, you ready to sight see?" I asked Colleen. She was still feeling miserable like before.
"I feel so sick" she groaned. I pull her into a hug and rub her back. She began to cry into my chest. I hate seeing her like this. I feel like it's partially my fault. I kiss the top of her head and rub her back to try to calm her down.
"I'll try to walk around" she finally says. Now my plan is in progress again. Let's do this thing.
We both get ready and we call Kory and Lee. We all grab breakfast and then we start to walk around. We come across many beautiful sights but none are perfect enough. As we walk through town, I find a building.
"Hey, I'm gonna use the bathroom real quick" I tell the group. I enter the building, find a bathroom, go into the stall, and just sit. I pull out the diamond from my back pocket and stare at it. I start to tear up.
"I hope I get to use you soon" a tear streams down my face. I'm usually not this emotional. I just want this to go perfectly and I really wanna marry this girl. I sigh and put it back in my back pocket. I use the bathroom even though I didn't really need to. I just said that because I needed time to myself. I exit the building and find Colleen crying in Kory's arms. I stare at him confused.
"Love, what's wrong?" I ask. She releases from his arms and wipes the tears from her eyes. She shrugs.
"I think it's just pregnancy harmoans." She says. Lee looks at us shocked. Oops, we never told him Colleen was pregnant.
"Did you just say pregnancy?" He asks. Colleen nods.
"Oops, I forgot to tell you" she giggles.
"I'm about 2 months pregnant". She continues. Lee hugs Colleen then me.
"Congrats guys! Im so happy for you!" He says. While Lee and Colleen are talking to each other, I pull Kory aside.
"Hey, Kory. Can we talk for a minute?" I ask. He nods.
"What's up Erika?" He asks.
"I, um, wanna propose to Colleen here but I just can't find the perfect spot to do it. Have any ideas?"
"Oooo yay! And, umm, I think I know a really cool place that might be perfect." He smiles.
"Thanks Kory. Also, can you take pictures when I do it?" He nods and smiles.
"Of course, Erik! I can't wait! I'll let you know when we are there."
"Ok. Thanks again." We then go back to the group.
"What were you two chatting about?" Colleen asked. Oh shoot.
"Just small talk" Colleen raises her eyebrow at me. Shit, she doesn't believe me.
"Ok" she smiles. Kory then leads us to the next destination. It was absolutely beautiful. This was perfect. I hold Colleen's hand as we walk closer to it and stand on the grass.
"Wow, this is beautiful" she gasps.
"Not as beautiful as you" I mumble. She kisses my cheek. It was now time.
"Hey Colleen?" I ask. She faces me. Here we go.
I slowly kneel down and reach into my back pocket. I begin my speech.
"Colleen, when I first met you in the audition room, I felt something. Just something about you made my insides go crazy. I would get butterflies in my stomach whenever we were around. I still do. I then helped you out with your divorce. I did my best to try and keep you happy and smiling. You are the most beautiful, selfless, sweet, determined, creative, funny, and talented woman I have ever met and I don't want anyone else but you. You're the one Colleen. I truly feel that. Sorry this is so late. I wanted to do it before we got pregnant. I don't want you to think I'm just doing this cause you're pregnant. I'm doing this because I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you. Also, all I have is the diamond for the ring. It has ran in my family for many, many generations and I want you to have it. I thought maybe I would let you design your ring and I could help. I have another ring you could wear as a promise ring for now. So I guess what I'm really going for is... Colleen Mae Ballinger, will you make me and happiest and luckiest man in the world by doing the honor of marring me and spending the rest of your life with me?" I finally finish up. She was in complete tears.
"Of course!" I slide the ring on her finger, I stand up, and we kiss. I'm honestly the happiest I have ever been in my entire life. I'm marring the love of my life and she is pregnant with our son or daughter. Tell me I'm not the luckiest guy in the world. Go ahead tell me. She turns to Kory and notices he is taking pictures.
"Wait? you knew?!" She asks Kory. He nods.
"When you were back there talking to Lee, Erik was asking me about a perfect place to do this and I lead him here and he also asked me to take pictures for you guys." Colleen was in tears once again.
"Thank you guys so much for everything. You guys are honestly the best.
"Wanna head back to the hotel? It's getting dark out" I suggest. Colleen cheers.
"Yay! We can play uno" She giggles. We all head back to the hotel. Colleen could not stop staring at her ring.
"It's beautiful" she says softly.
"I'm glad you like it." I smile at her.
"Like it? Are you kidding me? I love it! It's perfect!" She smiles back at me. I kiss her cheek. We go into our room and Kory and Lee join us in a few games of uno. Colleen starts to get tired at around 10. She yawns and her eyes get droopy.
"Wanna go to sleep?" I ask her. She nods.
"See you guys tomorrow at the theater" I say to them as they leave. Colleen and I get ready for bed and go to sleep. I pull her in close and kiss her head.
"I love you" I mumble.
"I love you too"
Today was the best day of my life for sure.
