"Has it been 5 minuets yet?" Colleen asked.
"Almost" I reply.
3...2...1
The timer blares and I shut it off. Colleen and I just look at each other.
"You look first" she finally gets out. I grab the test. Everything we have been through all this very moment. I flip it over and look at the result. I didn't know how Colleen would take this news. Would she be relived? Would she be disappointed?
"Well... what does it say?" I sigh and show her the results. She seemed pretty relieved but a little disappointed.
"Not pregnant" she read aloud.
She hugs me and I hold her tight. We just sit on the bathroom floor of our hotel room hugging for a good half hour. I finally noticed she fell asleep. I pick her up trying not to wake her and tuck her into bed. Maybe she just needs some rest. This whole pregnancy thing though has me thrown off. I kinda wanted a child with her but I guess she is right. It is bad timing. I don't wanna just sit here alone in my own thoughts but I also don't wanna leave Colleen. I decide to ask Kory if he wanted to hang out in Colleen's room with me while she slept and he says yes.
About 10 minuets later he shows up.
"Hey Kory. Thanks for coming over." I say as I answer the door.
"It's no problem" Kory says.
I sit next to Colleen in bed and Kory pulls up a chair.
"Everything ok, Erik?" He asks.
"Yeah, why? What's up?" I ask.
"I don't know. Just looks like something is bothering you." He says. I look down at sleeping Colleen and smile. I then look back and nod.
"There is kinda" I say.
"Spill the tea" He says in a funny tone trying to bring the topic to a lighter level.
"Ok, but you can't tell Colleen I told you this." He nods. I sigh and continue.
"When Colleen and I came in here she felt nauseous and thought she might be pregnant. She took a test and it was negative." I sigh again and put my head down.
"Did you want it to be positive?" Kory asks.
"Yes... no... I don't know. I mean I just want what is best, you know?" I reply stressed.
"It's ok Erik. I see your relationship thriving and you two getting married and having kids together. It will happen. I promise."
"I hope. I know it sounds crazy but I already started thinking of how I'm gonna propose to her." I reply smiling to myself during the last part.
"Ooooo how?" Kory says interested.
"I'm making a list in my phone of all the things I love and adore about her." I smile just imagining the very moment I would propose.
"Aww, that's sweet. She will love it!" He says. Colleen starts to move around in her sleep and mumbles. I think she is having a bad dream. I look at Kory and he gives me a look saying "wake her up" so that's what I did. I shook her a little and she woke up.
"Love?" I ask. She sits up hugs me and cries into my chest.
"Shhhh. everything is ok. I got you" I say rubbing her back. She wipes her tears away eventually and gives me a soft smile.
"That's better." I say and she giggles. She looks over and sees Kory.
"Oh, hey Kory. Sorry I was asleep. What are you doing here?" She asks him.
"Erik invited me over. He said you were sleeping and didn't want to leave you but also wanted to hang out with someone so I came over. I can go now if you want." He suggests. Colleen nods. He gets up and walks towards the door. He looks at me and gives me a look saying "I won't say a word. Your secret is safe with me" then leaves.
"I was having a dream about if I was pregnant. Then I had a miscarriage cause I didn't take enough care of myself and now I'm scared that will happen in the future." She says.
"I promise I will help you and protect you when that time comes. You have nothing to worry about." I say. She smiles at me.
"What were you and Kory talking about?"
"Oh, nothing important. Just small talk." I reply.
"Ok" she smiles.
"Feeling better?" I ask.
"Yes. A lot. Thanks for keeping me company. Wanna go to the pool till dinner?" She asks. I nod. We both change into our bathing suits and head down to the hotel pool where everyone was hanging out. Colleen sits down and pulls out her laptop and starts to edit a video. I go over and close the laptop.
"Come on, Colleen. Let's have fun. Race ya to the pool." I say and do a big cannon ball into the pool. As I came up I push my soaking wet mop of hair out of my eyes and look over at Colleen who was laughing at me. She walks over to the edge of the pool.
"Jump in! I'll catch ya." She jumps in and I don't catch her. She comes back up and looks at me.
"You're gonna pay" she laughs. I smirk at her and begin to run away from her in the water, moving fast at first then slow so she could catch me. I pull her into my grip and we just stand there hugging.
"Thank you so much for coming." She says into my chest, her hot breath against my skin almost turning me on. One more word out of her and well you know what happens.
"Haha it was no problem. I've never been to Hawaii. I'm so glad I could go with the prettiest girl in the world."
"You're the best. I love you so much!" She talks into my chest again. Here we go again. I try to play it off cool. She feels down at my area then smirks at me.
"I knew it!" She laughed.
"You're just too sexy for me not to." I smirk. But I was stuck. My boner was throbbing and hurt so bad. We were in a public pool so we couldn't do anything and if I got out everyone would notice.
"Colleen wanna go back to the room for a little and deal with this?" I chuckle. She nods and bites her bottom lip. I pick her up bridal style. I hope no one notices.
"We will be back. We just need to grab something back at the hotel." I tell our group.
"We all know that's a lie but have fun you two!" Kory calls. Damn it.
We make it to the hotel and we go straight up to our room. By this time I was in so much pain and felt like I would explode at any second. The pressure was so extreme I swore I was going to. I can't wait any longer. I take off my trunks and let it spring out. I quickly slide a condom on as Colleen took off her bathing suit. Let's just say today was the best sex we had yet.
Later we meet up with everyone for dinner and we all just laugh and have a good time, maybe even got a little bit tipsy. I look over at Colleen and she was completely wasted. She was sitting on my lap tracing my abs with her finger through my shirt and looking high as ever. I thought it was cute.
"You're hot" she slurs. I couldn't help but just smile at her. Normally, Colleen doesn't get drunk. She usually never even drinks but I let her tonight cause she deserves it. She has two seasons of a Netflix show, a book, she tours, she deserves a break.
"So are you" I smile.
"I want you" she smirks.
"You had me earlier today" I laugh.
"I want more"
"Maybe another night. Let's get you to bed. It's getting late."
"Guys, I'm gonna take Colleen up to bed so she can sleep this off and I'm going to sleep too." I tell everyone and say good night. I carry Colleen up to bed and tuck her in. I get in and cuddle her until we both fall asleep. Another eventful day tomorrow.
