Jungkook helplessly looked at Jimin who sat on his knees, crying his eyes out in front of him, the letter clenched in his small fist.
Everything in the world was shit, Jungkook thought.
He didn't want the elder to cry anymore, he had seemed tired enough already. This just meant more heartbreak and sadness. Jungkook felt bad for the Yoongi guy, and of course, Jimin, too. There was most likely so much stuff, bad stuff, going on in Jimin's mind it probably would take a toll on him sooner or later.
The tears wouldn't stop. Jimin didn't want to cry like this with the guard next to him, it was so embarrassing to let his barrier break like that. His mixed feelings about the male didn't help either. Jimin did want Jungkook to hold him, yes, he could say he'd find that comforting even. But he didn't know if it was a good idea.
Jungkook, dear Jesus was he making a mess of Jimin's brain. He wasn't sure why he felt the way he did. He'd need some time to think everything out.
But... why would he need to think about any of that? Jungkook didn't have feelings for him, he just came by to apologize and help him sort Yoongi's stuff. After they'd part, he wouldn't see the guard ever again.
"Hey, Jimin-ssi?" Jungkook's voice pulled Jimin out of his thoughts. "Jimin-ssi, are okay? You kind of... paused everything." A hand came to rest on his shoulder as the blond came to realize he was in Yoongi's room with the taller. He had been so immersed in his thoughts and he probably had looked very creepy.
"I'm f-fine," Jimin mumbled, throwing the letter away and out of his reach before falling on his bum, legs aching from sitting on them for too long. He let out a shaky breath and hugged himself, gripping the fabric of his shirt and trying to make himself as small as possible, maybe he would disappear if he had enough willpower.
Then a warm arm wrapped around his shoulders, pulling him closer to a warm body.
"Everything will be okay," Jungkook softly said as he let Jimin rest against him. The elder was stiff under his touch, but as soon as he started gently rubbing his thumb on his shoulder, he felt how the blond relaxed.
"Thanks," Jimin breathed out, letting himself close his eyes and allowed his body to lean on the taller. He felt comfortable.
Jimin's eyes fluttered open and he yawned, pulling the blanket over him more, not wanting the cold air to freeze him to death. It took a moment for him to realize he was in Yoongi's bed. A second after he had to bury his face in the pillow to muffle a squeal.
He fell asleep on Jungkook's shoulder! How embarrassing!
Jimin fanned his face to get the blush fade from his cheeks. He collected himself and got up from the bed, straightening his shirt before exiting the bedroom through the door that had been left open.
The blond was nervous. What if Jungkook had left? He was scared he'd never see the other again. His suspicions were incorrect, as he got to know while stepping into the living area. There Jungkook was, sitting on the floor and reading one of Yoongi's lyrics, his eyes a bit moist.
"What are you doing?" Jimin asked, whispering, his throat sore from all the crying. Jungkook, who hadn't noticed Jimin entering the room, looked up with wide eyes, shocked that the older appeared without him noticing at all.
"I was just reading these lyrics, a song Yoongi-ssi has written at some point. It's called 'The Last' and it's so sad. Did you know that he had been seeing a psychiatrist when he was younger?" Jungkook asked after explaining himself. Seeing Jimin shake his head, the raven-haired handed the sheet to the older male, smiling sadly. The other took it and examined it, shifting his weight from one leg to another.
