"Jadey!" I hear Cat call from where she was sitting in my room in front of my bedroom window. Her face turned towards the window as she looked out of it as she happily moves around in her chair unable to keep still, her bright red hair bouncing with every move she makes.
"What is it Kitty?" I ask her looking up from my phone to face her, getting up from my bed and placing myself next to her, as I wait for her to speak I play with her ruby locks, she smells sweet, like cotton candy. It's crazy how we're complete opposites and we go together so great.
"It's raining." She says as she hops into my lap and looks at my emerald green eyes with her cocoa brown ones. This cute, adorable totally not me person is the only person who I can be nice to and who I can show affection to I dont know why, it just is that way and that's how it'll stay, for now.
"Okay, so why should I know this?" I ask her trying hard to say it in the most not mean way I can so I don't hurt her sensitive heart.
"Becaauuussee, we should go out." She said smiling.
"But we already are Kitty." I told her.
"Nooooo not like that, like go into the rain and have fun in the rain." She explained.
"Okay, but your dress will get wet." I warned her, she tends to forget that a lot.
"I know but I'll be with you so it's okay." She said clutching her stuffed giraffe. Most people think it was a gift from her parents because that's what she told them but it was a gift from me she just doesn't know either. I saw the giraffe because I was forced to go into one of those horrible toy stores, where rotten little snot balls of kids go to whine about what they want, to buy something for my little cousin's birthday, I saw the gift and I remembered how much Cat told me she wanted a whole animal zoo on her bed but she could never find a giraffe and nobody would help her look for one, so I saw it and to my dread I picked it up and bought it for her. Then I saw a teddy bear with a top hat and monicle so I made sure nobody was watching me, took out my scissors and carefully cut the threads holding them to the teddy bear and took them home with me and the giraffe. I took the sewing kit from my mom's room and sewed on the top hat and monicle to the giraffe then I found a black ribbon lying around so I tied it in a bow around the giraffe's neck. I went to her house late at night on a day I knew her parents were away put it on the doorstep with a card signed for a special Cat love a special someone (mushy I know) , rung the bell and hid in a bush. Once she got it and I saw the smile on her face I knew it was worth the hassle. She still doesn't know and I want to keep it that way, I thought the black ribbon would give it away but it's Cat so apparently not.
"Okay we'll go... but you have to leave the giraffe in here." I told her calmly.
"Why Jadey! Please let me bring Mr. Purple out on an adventure in the rain!" She pleaded with me, sticking her bottom lip out at me.
"Kitty he has to stay here, if he gets wet.....He'll die." I say to her trying to come up with something that won't ruin her imagination.
"Okay... I don't want Mr.Purple to die so I guess I'll leave him here. But can we bring him back some bibble?" she asks me, she still trying to stay away from the bibble it's been hard for her and I can't let her wreck it now or she'll get all wazzed out. I can't let that happen.
"We're not getting any bibble Cat." I tell her.
"Dangit...." She says, she really thought she had it in the bag this time. She's been begging me for days.
"But once we come in and dry off we can make red velvet cupcakes." I tell her.
"YAY my favorite!! Okay I want to make red velvet cupcakes!" She says excitedly. After that we run out into the rain together. It's pouring so we're soaked in two minutes.
