Tylers P.O.V.
Andy walked out the second exit of the cafe without a word. I was going to chase afrer him to make sure he was alright. After all, I did just witness his breakup. Before I could reach him, Remn comes in the that same door sprinting.
"TYLER!" he yells. He grabs a hold of my hand and pushes me into a booth.
"Agh, Remn! Are you serious? Andy just broke up with Jenna I have to make sure he's okay.
"That is..the greatest news..in the history of news." I looked at him stupefied.
"Its about Dimmy," he smiled at me coyly, "Oh so now I've got your attention?"
"Whatever," I said irritated. I could feel my face starting to heat up.
"Did Riley tell you?"
Riley was another addition to my circle of friends, she was the kid of the group. The kind of person who'd choose a sleepover with glowsticks and a movie marathon over a house party."Tell me what?" I said apathetically but secretly intrigued.
He made a sound that I imagined was him exploding of excitement.
"Dim finally talked to Andy, IT'S TIME TO PLAY MATCHMAKER!""Really? I said more shakily than expected, "She likes Andy?"
"In all honesty, for a guy who's obsessed with her, you are tragically clueless."
It wasn't Andy's fault he had no clue, It'd been mine for not saying anything earlier. I'd talked to him about Dimrity all the time, he practically knew everything about her without meeting her once. He was my bestfriend of course he didn't intend to attract her. But he still felt sad. And a little envious.
Remn looked at me sypathetically, with an iced mocha on the table I didn't notice he got when lost in thought."I'm not paying for that," I told him.
"Don't worry, 'It's on the house'", Remn moved his dirty blonde fringe from over his light blue eyes. He smiled and winked flirtily at the barista with electric blue hair. I noticed there was a number on his cup. I looked at him awstruck. I thought that only happened in the movies.
"Remn, Dim is her own person she can do what she wants. She's independent and if she wants something she'll manage to get it," I said more defensively than intended.
"And what she wants is your bestfriend!" He said dramatically exasperated, "Listen, I know you like Dim and all, she's a sweetheart, but it's time to move on, my dude. You've had your chance, and what did you do Tyler Jennice? You avoided her for a year."
I looked at him sadly, I knew he was right. Always was.
"It's time you give someone else a chance, let her be happy. And seeing Andy just broke up, there are now two broken hearts in your life that could use some love."
He was good.
"Okay, I said resentfully, "I'll talk to him and let you know when he's ready to be set up," Remn did a fist pump.
My phone rang vibrating all over our booth table. Andy's number showed up on my screen.
"Speak of the devil," Remn remarked, giving me a smug look. I gave him a look of disapproval.
I picked up only to hear muffled noises I couldn't make out.
"Andy?" I questioned worriedly.
"ineedyoutocomeover..." I couldn't make out what he said, it sounded as if he were speaking face down into a pillow. I heard the shuffling of bed spreads and...beads?
"Ty, I need you to come over," He repeated shakily. I could hear sniffling in the background.
I was scared. He could be doing something terrible. I could lose my bestfriend to a grave. My eyes watered at the thought.
"I'll be there in five."
I hit the ground running, with Remn yelling out a goodbye behind me. I drove my car the fastest I could manage. I didnt care anymore, I had to save Andy from himself. Good thing the cops didn't care either.
