Andy's P.O.V.

The school day is finally over, God has to be real after this merciful event. I walked up to the lampost where Tyler told me to meet him. He wasn't there I waited a bit longer. Dimrity was walking towards where I stood, her short dark hair bouncing up and down. She had a haircut that looked like she went crazy with the kiddie scissors but it framed her face perfectly, the style suited her. She stood next to me and looked up from her phone for the first time looking flustered. Her eyes widened at the sight of me and she granted me a small wave.

"Hi," she said with an awkward grin.

"Hey, have you seen" Tyler lately?

"Actually, I saw him before 7th period, he was supposed to be meeting me here..." her face dropped at the last part.

"Oh," I responded and then left abrubtly. Tyler was sneaky, but not sneaky enough to get past me. I went to my locker and called him, ready to rant and guilt trip him. I can't believe he'd tried to set me up after I specifically told him I wasn't ready.

No one answered. I saw Dimrity again walking up to my locker, I quickly turned to my open locker pretended I was looking for something.

"Hey there, again," she added awkwardly tapping my shoulder.

I spun around, albeit too quickly which sent my face to go red with embarrassment. She looked startled from my overly dramatic spin.

"Heeeeyy..." I said in high pitched tone with a cheesy, plastic smile. My hand for some reason forming a fist for my face to lean against.

She stared at me without words, undoubtedly suppressing a laugh.

"Well, I cancelled my study session for today so I was wondering If you wanted to grab a coffee with me since we were both so obviously ditched," my face heated up instantly, I quickly looked down at my shoes.

She bent down teasingly and looked up at my face.

"You know eye contact is a great thing that way everyone can see you're wonderful eyes," I cringed but a part of me thought her forwardness was hilarious. I could see the regret on her face after she said that which instead of laughing or smiling like a working human would do at someone's shame, my crap system made me blush furiously, I probobly looked like a deformed tomato, or a radish. This made her smile. I had to clear this up fast.

"Listen, I just broke up with my girlfriend and I don't think I'm ready to start anything new."

I swore I saw an expression disappointment but it quickly formed into cluelessness.

"Who said anything about starting something new?" She looked genuinely surprised.

And that's when I died of embarrassment due to the ego I thought had vanished long ago. Just because a girl asks you out for coffee doesn't immediatly mean she's obsessed with you. I've litetally never properly talked to this girl how could I  assume that based only on what Tyler told me. I transformed into a radish. This is my life now.

"Sorry, I'm autistic," I joked.

"Really?" I stared at her completely deadpanned.

"...No," I coughed nervously.

"How 'bout we get a coffee as friends with a mutual friend," she proposed.

"Sure," I forced myself to laugh, "but not the one across the street," I added sternly. Dear lord, she probobly thinks I'm bipolar now.

"Fine by me," she said coolly, with a bright smile. It was a contaigous smile.
