A Typical Day

|Taylor's P.O.V.| 

I wake up to see Meghan still asleep. I kiss her forehead before getting out of bed. I recently got a job as a news reporter. It pays really well. I had today off and started work tomorrow. I cleaned the house and then went to Starbucks to get Meghan her coffee and something to eat. When I got back she was still sleeping so I just binged Netflix until she woke up. 

"Good morning baby" I said. 

"Good morning," she said yawning. "I was thinking about our wedding date," she said. "What about July 6th next year?" 

"Sounds great," I said kissing her.

"Are you kidding me!"

"What?" I asked.

"The chapel can't book us for the 6th because somebody else already has that day. Nothing goes right in my life."

"Hey hey hey, calm down we'll figure this out."  I said trying to calm her down. 

"But the 6th is the day we started dating it has to be the 6th" 

"Ok, why don't we try another chapel?" I suggested. 

"Already tried, they're booked too" 

"All of them?"

"All of them." 

I sigh in frustration and concentrate on what we can do. "Why don't we do a destination wedding?" 

"We don't have enough money for that" 

I can see the stress that has been put on her. "Well we still have a year until its almost time so we'll save money and look into destination weddings" I say trying to calm her down. "And besides I've heard destination weddings cost less than having weddings in your home town" I said. 

"I mean I guess we could try." She walked back into the bedroom, most likely to go back to sleep. I personally don't feel the need for her to rush into getting married. I would wait and take our time to figure everything out with no rush. Meghan comes from a family that likes to get everything done right then and there, while I come from a family that takes their time with these things. My parents got married two years after getting engaged. Even though I want to marry her right now, I wouldn't rush anything.
