His Only Lover- That Day

I had just arrived at the studio to do my solo with my mom.
Today is the day that I will be performing live and my mom and I couldn't wait.
We went in and I got dressed and I practiced my dance.
I had 10 minutes before I went on stage.
I got ready and looked over myself making sure I was ready.
I heard my name being called so I went out on stage and heard the audience cheering.
I saw my mom in the front row.
I smiled and started as I heard the music.

After I was done I stood up and searched the crowd. My mom was smiling.
She wiped away a tear and I smiled and went off stage and got changed and ready to go.
My my mom came out and ran to me and hugged me tightly.
She pulled a box out and got it to me.
I opened it and saw a beautiful necklace.
It looked like hers and I smiled as I wiped a tear that escaped. It was beautiful.

I put it on and grabbed my stuff after hugging her and thanking her.
"Hey mom can we go to Burger King I want a smoothie? ",  I asked.
" Sure I want one to",  she replied.
I smiled and she headed to Burger King as we jammed out to music all the way.
We pulled up and went through drive thru.
I ordered a whopper jr, fries and a medium vanilla smoothie. My mom got the same.
We paid and started to head home.
After I was finished with my food my mom and I started a conversation.
"You know mom I never really thanked you for all that you do for me. Thank you for being such an amazing mother and a great friend. I love you",  I told her.
" I love you too and you're welcome. Thank you for being such an amazing daughter",  she replied.
I smiled and intertwined my hand with hers.
I looked out the window when I heard a blaring horn that madee jump.
I saw a truck heading towards us and I gripped her hand.
The truck rammed into us. I felt the car swerve and started to flip. That was all I remembered after it went dark.

I woke up to a beeping sound and opened my eyes to a bright light.
I shut them groaning.
I opened my eyes and tried to sit up but I couldn't my head hurt and my leg ached.I looked down a saw a cast on my right knee going up to my thigh.
I looked around and saw my brother Aiden.
"Aiden wake up. Where's mom",  I called.
He jumped up looking for danger when he saw me he ran to me.
" Where's mom? ",  I asked.
He looked down shaking his head as a tear escaped his eye.
" No no no", I whispered but got louder.
I broke down as the door burst open.
Doctors flooded the room and I continued to sob as Aiden held me.
I grabbed my necklace and cried and cried.
I felt my eyes get heavy and I fell asleep as I dreamt of that day.

**3 weeks later**
I woke up and groaned knowing today was her funeral.
I got up and showered and got dressed.

I put on my creme colored flats I got my cruches and grabbed my phone sliding it in my purse. I went to my mom's room and grabbed her necklace putting it on with mine.
I went downstairs and saw my brother.
I felt a tear escape my eye and wiped it.
I crunched to my brother and he got my wheelchair so I could sit.
I wheeled my way outside to his truck and got the wheelchair standing on one foot.
My brother put me in and put my wheelchair and crushes in the backseat.
We drove off to the church and my brother helped me out and into my wheelchair.
I wheeled my way to the front row as I heard gasps.
I got settled and locked my chair and the service started where I had to say goodbye to my best friend also my mother and let her go.

It was sad but just a recap of what took place three months ago.
Next chapter will be her first day.
She stayed in her house for 3 months before moving in with her brother.
Her leg is still broken and will be healed in two more months.
