Impossible Love

Chapter 1: The Past

Ashlyn's POV

I awoke to my sister yelling about something our older brother did and groaned loudly at the stupidity of two siblings. ' when can I get out of here'  I thought and sat up looking around the plain room. No posters, no pictures, no random items scattered on my dresser, I sighed softly and let my bare feet touch the cold hardwood floor. My long brown hair fell around my waist and looked like lions main. I smiled sadly when I thought of how my mom would tell me to tame the lion when I was younger after I woke up.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when my door was thrown open by my older brother, Mykle, he had a goofy grin on his face and chuckled " MOrning sleeping beauty! You need to hurry and get rid befo-" he was interrupted by a very pissy Kylie pushing him out of the way. After noticing how I just had woken up she growled " Get ready now or I am leaving your ass freak" She then walked away not saying anything else.

Mykle sighed and closed my door so I could change into my uniform. I quickly changed and looked into the mirror. My long hair was in a high pony tail and and i looked at my outfit. My clothes consist of a dark blue collared shirt and a pair of jeans.

My eyes shifted to my face. I looked at my different colored eyes. My golden eye on my left was so.. odd. It has gotten lighter and I knew my family found it unsettling. I sigh my other eye was a soft blue. I was slowly getting more frustrated and my room slowly became colder and the white walls turned gold.

I jumped when the mirror started changing . I shook my head and scrambled out of my room before.Kylie could leave without me and cause Dad to stress more. On the way to school Kylie talked about her new boyfriend and I just shook my head.

Kylie noticed this and growled "What Ashlyn ." This caused me to jump 'Great now you did it' I gulped " Nothing just thinking ". Mykle sighed "Kylie just drop it " which didnt help Kylie slammed on brakes and pulled over "No I'm sick of it she acts she knows everything because she see shit!" I looked down hoping the fighting would stop but no.

Finally after 2 minutes the yelling faded and a voice filled my ears."Get out of the car Ashlyn. Walk away. Please"  I have heard the familiar voice before. It was deep and rough but yet gentle and sweet. I did as I was told and I slowly unbuckled my seat belt and grabbed my things. I quickly got out of the car and started walking. Kylie yelled for me but only cause she would get in trouble. Mykle called for me as well but his was more for my own safety.

After a while I ended up in the woods taking in the warm weather. What felt like forever I heard my phone go off and saw messages from my dad. I was about to turn my phone off but one of the many messages caught my eye. Hospital was all it read. My heart stopped and I quickly opened it to read that Kylie ended up crashing into another car and they were rushed to the hospital.

My eyes wide I growled "Why!" I yelled and shook my head "Why.. why did I listen to you" I waited for a response but I should have known. There wasn't gonna be one. I hurried to the hospital to see the damage. When I arrived my father was sitting in a chair picking at his nails. I quickly walked over and gulped "Dad" I was only able to guess that someone didnt make it.. dad only acted like this when he thought about mom.

He looked up his fluffy brown hair was a mess. "Kylie she.. she is in a coma. Mykle is ok just making sure that he didnt break anything." He shook his head and stood up "The back was completely destroyed... I thought you were dead until they told me they only found two teens" I look down and when I looked back up all I could do was stand in fear seeing a shadow standing beside my father with the same smile that it had when it stood beside my mother all those years ago.

I backed away and saw that my father already knew.  He gave me a sad smile "I know Lyn just remember " he put his necklace that his father gave to him when he was my age . It had a ankh as the charm. The ankh had a crystal Egyptian lotus in the middle. I shook my head and started to cry "that I love you and you will find him one day" he soon fell to his knees and started spazzing "OH GOD DAD! NURSE SOMEOME!!" I screamed for someone. The creature laughed "He was so weak. Who is next Miss Ash" he faded and I just cried.

2 Weeks later

I sat on my bed and held my father's necklace . I looked over at the back when suddenly something started to engrave in the back. It read.

Come find me
Help me stop this
Together

I raised a eyebrow and laid back "Who" was all I could say before falling to sleep.
