Everything hurt. His head especially. He wasn't sure how much time passed between when he was fully conscious and when he opened his eyes. Maybe an hour. Or two. He was hiding though, hiding from the piercing pain the bright light brought. He knew he couldn't fall back into unconsciousness though. He couldn't remember why, but he was determined to stay awake.

He wasn't motivated enough to let the world know he was awake until he realized that someone might need help. Dumb fatal flaw, He thought as he cracked open his eyelids. The light made his skull pound and black spots danced before him. Suddenly a worried face, Hazel's, came into view.

"Oh! Thank the gods you're awake!" she exclaimed. "We were so worried. Are you okay? What happened?" she said this all within the few seconds that Percy had opened his eyes, so he was still adjusting.

"Uh..um... I- I guess I'm pretty much ok." He winced. Even moving his mouth was painful. "As for what happened.... I don't know. I think that-that that thing was.... No. It couldn't."

Hazel glanced at him sympathetically. "Ok. Whenever you're ready, me and Frank have a theory to compare with yours. Are you feeling like you could walk? Annabeth's been driving everyone crazy with her worrying."

Percy nodded determinedly. He still hurt, but for Annabeth, anything was possible. He mentally rolled his eyes. Stop being so heroic. He told himself, and swung his legs off the bed.

Hazel immediately caught him as he almost collapsed on the floor. "Just take it easy, k? You have been out for almost two days."

Percy was shocked. Two days?! That attack had really taken a lot out of him. He and Hazel reached the foot of the stairs and Percy clutched the banister.

"I'm ok now. Thanks Hazel." She looked at him doubtfully, but nodded.

"You're welcome. Be careful." She instructed before turning toward her room. Percy then proceeded to painfully drag himself up the stairs. If not for Leo's skill in building, he probably would have broken the banister off, he leaned on it so hard.

When he reached the top, he was grateful to see a blond haired figure leaning on the side of the ship.

"Hey. " He croaked. She turned with a surprised look, but once she saw it was him, it morphed into relief.

"Hey. " She said quietly and rushed forward to help him to where she had been. "You stupid, stupid Seaweed Brain! What were you thinking?" She kept going at full force, naming exactly how worried she was and how he had had to go and be so dumb and heroic.

Percy didn't really listen to her rant. He had heard it too many times and had just about memorized it. All he was concerned about was the way her stormy gray eyes bore into his and sparkled when she was angry. And the way her curls bounced when she talked forcefully. And how beautiful she was. And how lucky he was to know her, let alone date her. Then suddenly, he was tired of how she kept rambling about things that were so unimportant and how she wouldn't just shut up and kiss him. So he did it for her.

Her eyes widened as she was cut off mid speech. Then she rolled them and returned the sign of affection.

The moment was broken too soon. Leo burst up from below and ran to the ship's controls. Percy turned, and would have fallen if it hadn't been for Annabeth's watchful eye. Leo glanced at them.

"Guys, you might want to get downstairs. Something's happening. Oh, hey Percy, glad you're up. Are you feeling strong enough to save the world yet?" He winked and turned back to frantically adjusting the controls.

Percy blinked. "Well. " He said. "I guess we better go find out who wants to kill us now. " And together, with Percy leaning on Annabeth, they headed down to the rest of the seven.

Hey! Another chapter up! Read and enjoy!
