Two days. It had been two days since Nico and the others had left the seven. Two days since they had started to shadow travel the huge statue of Athena. And two days since this weird, messed up nightmare had begun.

Nico hadn't really had time to get to know Coach Hedge in the time he'd been in the Argo II. Then again, he had been mostly trying to avoid everyone.

And he and Reyna.... well lets just say their relationship had gotten very awkward since the praetor of New Rome found out he had been socializing with Greeks while attending her camp.

Now that he thought about it, that was probably a bad idea. On both accounts. Because putting an awkward girl and a crazy, battle hungry saytr together resulted in this mess he was in now. All he wanted to do was arrive at Camp and then take a few months to himself.

He thought about how tired he had been after each day of shadow travel. He had to rest while monster after monster attacked. He felt useless as he watched Hedge and Reyna fight. And fight. And fight. While he sat there.

Coach had complained repeatedly about the stink he and Reyna sent off, which was the main attraction to the monsters. Reyna had just rolled her eyes. Nico knew he couldn't help his smell and so didn't really care, but he too wished Coach Hedge would be quiet. He was trying to sleep.

At the moment they were in Italy. They had first traveled Northwest of where they were and had plans to traveling to Switzerland and then France. After they had succeeded in getting that far, it shouldn't be too hard to get into the UN. Iceland and Canada were the next stopping points after that. From there it would be easy to make a few smaller jumps down to New York.

Currently Nico was conked out on the sand of the beach. Surprisingly they weren't being attacked by any monsters. Maybe because there were mortals everywhere, or maybe because the gods had finally decided to give them a break. But it didn't matter. Nico was taking full advantage of this opportunity to catch on some much needed beauty sleep.

------------- time lapse to 4 hrs later----

Nico woke up to Reyna shaking him. "What?" he asked groggily. Reyna looked upset. "Sorry for waking you but I think we should keep moving. I-I have a bad feeling about this place."

Nico scowled at her, annoyed. "So I'm missing out on my sleep because of your feelings?" Reyna hesitated then nodded firmly. "Yes. Now get up and get us out of here. Hedge! Get your lazy behind over here!" Coach suddenly burst through the crowd of people, carrying with him several bags of discarded soda containers. "Don't get your panties in a twist cupcakes! I was just stocking up on food for the next couple of weeks. So much of it gets wasted around here. Look how much I found!"

Reyna looked disgusted. "You're gonna eat that? Gross. At least the fauns at New Rome actually eat normal food. "

Coach snorted. "Whatever girlie. Let's go." Nico rolled his eyes raised his hands. "Be quiet." Together they stepped into the nearest shadow and sped away.

When Nico stepped back into sunlight, only one thing kept him from passing out. And that was the view. They were nowhere near where he had intended them to go. In fact, from as far as he could tell, they were on a desert island surrounded by monsters.

Wonderful. He thought.

Got the next chapter up. Comment. Vote. All that other stuff. Thanks for reading!
