Chapter Two

*Ezra's POV*

Aria crushed her lips into mine and the whole world stopped. Nothing could ever ruin this moment. I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her through the doorway and into my apartment. I slammed the door whilst kissing Aria. This felt so right that I couldn't imagine losing her ever again. But suddenly, a loud, deep knock shook my entire apartment. I opened the door confidently already having an idea of who was there. I heard Aria run to the sofa and start sobbing. Noel ran through the door, stood in front of Aria, looked into her watering eyes, and slapped her. I was so astonished, that the whole world suddenly went into slow motion. I ran to Aria's defense and punched Noel, causing him to fall to the floor, knocking him uncouncious. I grabbed Aria and pulled her close to me, gripping her tightly, neither of us wanting to let go.

*Aria's POV*

We called the police so Noel would be taken away, we fled the apartment and drove to the police station before they got there.

*Five Minutes Later*

I hung on to Ezra's body tightly while waiting at the police station. We had to tell them everything. I knew what was going happen, so did Ezra. We called his mom and she said she was on her way to bail Ezra out.

"Ezra, I promise you, as soon as your mom arrives in Rosewood, we'll bail you out and -" He cut me off.

"Leave Rosewood?" He said smiling. I smiled back, but I felt a sudden wave of sadness come over me when an officer pulled him away from me and threw him into a holding cell. I cried as soflty as possible, but still, it wasn't soft enough. Ezra ran to the bars of the cell, trying to comfort me, but he couldn't, not now, not here. I needed his soft lips pressed against mine adorned with his gentle touch. Without him, it was like trying to breathe without air. It was impossible.

*Ezra's POV*

I can't sit here and watch Aria suffer like this. Watching Aria cry made me die over and over again. I'm watching the one person I truly love breakdown into tiny peices. The one person I truly love is heart broken because of one person, Noel Khan. I'm glad I had Aria back although they were married. But, she came back to me, right? About three years ago, Noel threatened Aria and I, she had to marry him to keep the both of us safe. It killed me everyday knowing that she was protecting me when I should have been protecting her. Aria had every ounce of my love when she was gone and when I get out of here, we're leaving Rosewood...for good.

*Aria's POV*

I couldn't help but keep crying. Ezra's mom, Dianne Fitzgerald, had arrived and was about to bail him out, I left to go to the restroom to dry my tears and fix my makeup, she never liked me so, I didn't really want her to see me like this. I stood there, in front of the mirror, and just stared. I was thinking about all of the things Ezra and I have been through together. Why does he still love me? I thought. Does he still love me? Of course he does, right? I keep asking these questions and they were scaring me. I honestly couldn't live without him. He is my one and only, forever and always. I needed him with me at all times. When he gets out, I'm divorcing Noel, Ezra and I have nothing to hide anymore. I'm done, and so is Ezra.
