Mike?

Eleven's POV.
I waited by the phone, hoping Mike would call but nothing happened. Nothing happened in the last three hours. I was home with Joyce and Will. I had waited a long time for him to ring. But nothing happened.

"El?" Joyce called me. I look to her and look back at the phone. "What's wrong sweetie?" She looks at the phone and back at me. "You want him to call don't you?" She asks. I nod once. "Don't worry! He'll call you when he's ungrounded." I sat there feeling sad. "Will?" She whispered. "Go round to the wheelers and ask Mrs wheeler if El could come see Mike." She continued to whisper. I stayed quiet and felt sleepy. I stayed up all night waiting. The door went and Jonathon came in. I look and he eyes me.

"Mom!" Jonathon calls. "What's up with her?"

"She's waiting for Mike to call. Jonathon! Could you run down to the shops and get some eggos, for dessert tonight." I perked up when I heard eggos.

"Can I come?" I asked. Joyce and Jonathon exchange looks.

"Don't you wanna wait for Mike to call." She asked me.

"He isn't gonna call." I said disappointed. Jonathon nodded and I walked off to his car. Eggo here I come!

Mike's POV.
I sat in the basement feeling bad and sorry for myself. I waited for someone to call or turn up but nothing. Nothing until...

"Michael! Will's here?" I hear my mother call. I get up and run upstairs. I answered the door and looked to see if El was with him. No!

"Hey Mike! You still grounded?" Will asked. I looked inside and then back to Will. I nod. "El is waiting for you to call her." Will spoke.

"Why didn't she come?" I ask.

"I don't know." He answers. I came here in my own. I can't go back unless I call my mom. I welcome him in and ask my mom if only Will can come in. She told me as long as it's a few minutes. I went downstairs and sat down on the sofa. He sat beside me and looked around.

"This place never gets old." Will commented.

"How she doing?" I ask.

"El?" I nod. "She's lonely. She waited by the phone for 3 hours for you to call."

"I wish I could." I said.

"Is there a phone down here?" He asks. I shake my head.

"I can't even go near the phone upstairs without being told off." I told Will. "Being grounded sucks."

"How about your walkie talkie?" Will asked. "Maybe she can hear you on that!"

"Mom took it away." I stated.

"How long are you grounded for?" He asks. I shrug. It feels like forever right now. "Hopefully you'll be back to being ungrounded and go see El." Will said.

"I miss her." I say.

"Yeah!" He answers.

"Michael! Tell Will he needs to go now!" Will and I exchange looks and walk upstairs and to the front of the house. Mrs Byers car was outside waiting to pick Will up.

"Tell El I miss her." I told Will.

"Will do." He takes off and I shut the door. What now?
