(A/n): This might take place a year before the year he died, but I'm not sure if I will or will not do that. Carry on.
_________________"This is it!" My dad opened a black gate. My mom's face looked in shocked.
"This?" I frowned
"Come one guys! This! Is amazing, big, nice house!"
"It looks terrible"
The house was big but it was. . . Different. It was painted this yellow-y cream white color. The door was tainted red and had those odd bronze door knockers in the middle. Trash littered the floor. The inside was worse, it looked like my Nana had decorated it! Dark red lace wall paper covered the walls. Brown wooden panels on the floors.
My room was up stairs, two doors down from the stair case. The room was okay I guess. It was navy blue color with white trim. My bed and drawer was already moved in all I needed to do was move my stuff in.

"Mr. Morris can you please pay attention" my new math teacher called out at me.
"I will when you teach something interesting" I sighed as I faced him.
He looked angry, "Mr. Morris! How can you say that! This will help you in the future! Become a better man!"
"Okay I'll call you when I perfectly build a house using the hypotenuse of a triangle."
"Please just pay attention" he coughed. As he turned around the bell rang. The class was excused.
I was packing up my belongings and exited. That was the last class of the day now I can leave and go home.
"Wait! Hey! Pardon!" Some was yelling behind me. I stopped in my tracks and turned around.
A girl was speed walking to me.
"Hello, I'm Ebony David" she caught her breathe. She was fixing her golden blonde hair with her hands. Her eyes were crystal blue. She was wearing a navy blue dress with white buttons.
"Hello Ebony. I'm Blake Morris" I smiled
"I know who you are! I had class with you just a few minutes ago. By the way you should not talk to Mr. Ross that way."
"Why not?"
"He's old."
"He's old oh my the world is going to end"
She giggled, "No it's not that. It because no one has talked to him like that. He is very well respected here."
"I'll try. Do you want me to walk you home?"
She blushed, "If you want"
"Where to then?" I smirked
"Just follow me then" she joined our arms.
She didn't live that far from the high school. Her father was a professor at the same college my father is working at, then she told me that her mom didn't work. When we were near her house she told me she lived here almost all her life.
"This is it" she unhooked our arms and unlatched a white wooden gate. Her house was one story. It had a brick pattern till the middle and the rest was white. It seemed small from the out side. Nice trees were planted in the front yard. White and pink flowers out lined the brick path that lead up to her porch.
"I'll see you tomorrow?" I smiled
"You bet" she kissed my cheek and quickly left inside. I placed my hand on my cheek. I couldn't help but smile.
When I got back home I couldn't help but think of Ebony. I actually was excited to go to school tomorrow just to see her again.
"What are you humming about there son? Did you have a good day?" My dad asked as he lowed the newspaper he was reading to see me. The grey in his hair stood out due to him being beneath a lamp.
"You can say that"
"I can tell especially since you still have her lipstick on your face" he chuckled.
My eyes widen in embarrassment, not that I was embarrassed of her, no, I was embarrassed because he caught me off guard. This only made him laugh more.
"Son, go to the laboratory to take it off. Make sure your mother doesn't see it. Oh she will start crying and what not" he muttered and shook his head at the though of my mother's reaction
The halls seemed endless. Wooden door after wooden door and I still couldn't find the stupid bathroom. As I walked down a hall I saw something from the corner of my eye.
"Hey?" I slowed down. It stopped in its tracks. I slowly stepped closer and it ran to somewhere. I began to rub my eyes. What the hell was that? My mind must be playing tricks on me. I continued walking after that. Footsteps came from behind me. When I started paying close attention it stopped it must have been the creaky floor boards.
"Blake is that you?" My mom yelled from some where.she opened the door that she was behind. I covered my cheek and smiled at her.
"Did you have a good day?" She walked back insides as I followed her in.
"It was. . . You know" I hesitated to answer.
"No I don't know. I'm not a mind reader you know" she smiled. I looked back at her, her eyes widen, "you met a girl!" Her smile got bigger.
My mom was always this way. Every girl I met she will get excited and cry out of happiness. She told me she just wants me to find the girl of my dreams. Her and my father met in high school, so I guess she wants the same for me.
"You should bring her over! For tea or for dinner" she grinned at her suggestions.
"Mom I just met her today I don't think she wants to be attacked like that."
"Hush now. Let me be happy" she rolled her eyes.
I yawned, "I think I'm going to take a nap"
"Good night dear" she kissed my opposite cheek.
"Night"I walked outside again.
As I walked into my room I was greeted by my bed and rich navy blue walls. As soon as I laid down I fell asleep.

I woke up fast. The sun wasn't even up yet. The clock said 3:06. I sighed. Just go back to sleep, I tried to convince my self.
A loud thud came from the hallway. Now I was fully awake. My door wasn't open so I tried listening for more noises. Footsteps were pacing back and forth.
"Mom?", no answer, "Dad?", still no answer. That's it. I got up and opened the door. The foot steps stopped as the door clicked.
"Hello? . . . C'mon this ain't funny." I was already annoyed. Humming was coming from some where. I didn't know where exactly, the humming just surrounded me, it was coming from everywhere.
"Mary had a little lamb little lamb whose--" what sounded like a girl started singing.
I interrupted, "-- whose there?"
Did someone break in? My eyes franticly looked around; until they landed on the far end of the hallway. A girl about 16 was standing there. She was very pale, her black hair made her look more pale the what she seemed.
"Leave" her mouth didn't move when she said that. I couldn't move.
