Chapter 22 - Her protector

"You failed me? Why? I trusted you."

- "Saya!"

"You are not the warrior I thought you are."

- "No, you're wrong! I swear I will set you free and make you the happiest girl in the world!"

"Lies... Your feeling for me are nothing but lies."

- "They're not lies, I swear on everything! You are the only one I will ever love!"

"Perhaps it is my mistake that I fell for someone who doesn't care about me at all..."

- "No, don't say that, I beg you..."

"You weren't able to protect me. You dare call yourself a man?"

- "I swear on my beating heart that is unconditionally protecting yours, when I rescue you and severely punish those who dared to lay a finger on you, I will prove myself to be the only real man worthy of your love!"

"You don't love me..."

- "I do! I love! I love you! I only love you! I love you! I love you so much! I love you!"

"Then prove it."

- "Yes, I will! I will prove myself to be worthy of your feelings! I am your knight in shining armor and your slave!"

"I hate you."

- "No, Saya-"

"I despise you so much. You never loved me!"

- "Saya-"

"I will never, ever love you... again!!!"

- "Nooooooooooooooo!!! Saya! Saya!"

-"Noooooooooooo!!"

-"Nooooooo!"

"Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!" Wolf jolted up, storming his eyes open. His breath was heavy, his whole body was tense and a severe headache was pounding from within his head. Sweat was dripping down him. His body was still covered in wounds.

Where was he? He was inside his 'home'. How could a single room be called home... when there was no Princess Saya with him on the bed.

Wolf despaired.

He needed Princess Saya by his side. It has been five whole days already and still no trace of her. "Saya! Where are you, Saya!! Damn it!! Fuck everything!! This rotten world should just perish, the world that won't let me be with her!! But no!! Until my last breath, I will fight for you!! I will rescue you and wake you up!! Then we'll build a house with a big yard, have sex ten times a day, have five or more kids, watch them grow and grow old together!!"

"The last part is kind of impossible, since we don't age here" Daisy's voice snapped Wolf out of his escape delusion.

Wolf looked over at the door and saw Daisy, Yuuji and Scar standing in front of it. He sighed deeply, not really bothered even if they witnessed his hysteria. "Have you found something useful or you're here simply because you're bored? If it's the latter, then go awa-"

"Wolf, bro, we did run into a clue" Yuuji smiled onto the side while leaning against a wall, trying to look all cool.

Wolf's eyes widened when he heard Yuuji. The black haired guy took a piece of paper out of his pocket and waved with it, like he was baiting Wolf. "What is that!?" Wolf jumped out of the bed and snatched the paper from Yuuji, who proudly held his head up high.

"Just so you know, bro, I was the one to find that, right guys?" He flashed his show-off smile at Daisy and Scar, while both of them simply nodded and replied with a "Yeah."
