I was born in the year of 1980's

i grew up with war and cruilty

my country lost its democracy

when marcos declare martial law to stay

At the early age i realized

many people have died

for the freedom they've fight

when ninoy sacrifice his own life

peoples power reign in vain

when Filipino's united to stand again

love, hope and unity in name

that God has its own way to end its game

as the years pass by and by

the freedom and democracy is still alive

thanks for the heroes of all time

who offer their lives for us to survive

now our new journey has just began

as our government clean the missed they left behind

may the people who made mistakes pay

for taking advantaged as we entrust them our country
