Just got back from vacation, and was able to finish this chapter :D

Y'all are so desperate for new chapters xD

I wasn't sure how it got to this point. The heavenly smell of grandmothers apple pie wafted in the air, three slices of pie set on the table with a tuft of whipped cream and a cup of lemon tea to go with. The proud bakers stood behind, staring in at me in anticipation.

He was trying to get on granny's good side. And it was working.

"My, my. [Y/N] you never told me you had such a reliable friend." The old hag smiled and sat down, Satoshi following her lead.

Reliable?

"This young man is just wonderful, you should bring him over more often." The woman was practically shining. I deadpanned, sending an accusing glare at Satoshi.

"Ah, Miss [Last Name] you make me blush." Both giggled like two little kids who just heard the word 'penis' for the first time in their lives.

Frowning, I simply focused on eating my slice of pie, not even bothering to mingle in-between the two. This was supposed to be only grandma and I, now it looked like she didn't even had time for me as Satoshi seemed to be way more interesting. That small act made my heart ache even though I knew that grandma loves me.

I watched the old hag get a photobook from one of the many bookshelves and lay it down on the table. She showed Satoshi my baby pictures, with many awes and nawwhh's coming from the two. Slightly triggered I decided to ignore them, knowing that there was no stopping an older woman from showing her grandchildren's childhood.

Satoshi smiled brightly at the pictures, looking more like an adult than that I was used to. I like him better that way, more approachable. Now that I think about it, I owe Satoshi quite a bit. If he wasn't there I would probably be a loner. He used my mean exterior and made me look more approachable by making me angry at him.

A slight huff escaped my lips as I stared at him. We must've looked quite the duo.

Blinking, I noticed Satoshi was staring right back at me. He smiled, making it almost impossible not to smirk back, and averted his attention back to my grandma who was telling about the time when Sakurai was born and I wouldn't leave him alone.

Yes, that was one of my brightest days yet. Becoming a big sister.

Looking up at the clock, I decided it was time to make dinner. Standing up from my position on the floor, I popped a few joints as I stretched. Slowly shuffling my way to the kitchen, I started making a simple lasagne. It didn't take long for the task to be complete, the oven does the most of the job. As the food heated up, I dragged myself back into the Livingroom where Satoshi was now standing at the windowsill, looking down at the street below. Grandma seemed to have disappeared for the time being, probably digging up old trinkets that she could show.

"She's a nice lady," Satoshi spoke up, looking over his shoulder at me.

I shrugged, walking over to stand beside him. "Sure, enough attitude to surpass me."

At that he raised an eyebrow in disbelieve.

"Oh you don't know the woman like I do." Bumping his side with my hip I beckoned him to come over. "You wanna see my room?"

At the mention of it his face lit up like a bazillion Christmas trees. I take that as a yes.

Walking down the hall, I turned left at the end. My room wasn't that big. One single bed, a closet, a desk and shelves upon shelves of books.
