The agony is exquisite, Is it not? A broken heart. You think. You will die. But you keep living. Day after day, after the Terrible day. -Charles Dickens

The Queen of Olympus silently watched from the patio of her chambers, as Apollo brought about dusk and Artemis raised the moon, the moonlight giving the Olympian skies an ethereal glow, making the land of her husband even more beautiful. Truly, Olympus was heaven.
But not for her. It was once upon a time, after the Titanomachy, when she would run and play along the beautiful, green plains of Olympus full of unique flowers as the sun shined bright, alongside her sisters, Hestia, and Demeter, and brother, Hades. Even now, she would sometimes wake up wishing for those days to return, that she could still play and laugh with the Nereids or perhaps walk through the streets of her magnificent kingdom without being surrounded by glares and whispers.
If she were honest though, Hera doubted she would be able to walk through the gloriously breathtaking cobbled streets of Olympus, almost half of Olympus was made up of her husband's bastards. The Queen wouldn't be able to take it. She wouldn't be able to watch as they walk in her Kingdom and act as though they own it, watch as they glower and mock her and do nothing but remain silent but what more could she expect. Zeus was their sire. She had already seen it enough in the Olympian Council meetings and she didn't think she would be able to tolerate more of it.
Sighing, the Queen of Olympus went back inside her chambers, her broken domains trying to heal but failing. Completely worn out the queen went and rested her tired head on the huge, round, gold-cream bed that occupied the end of the chamber, her mind full of thoughts about the past, her already broken heart, further breaking before she was completely consumed by Hypnos realm.

When Hera wakes up, it is to the beautiful sound of cuckoo's chirping, as Lysandor struts into her chamber.
And only with the appearance of Lysander does she understand what day it is, a sad smile slowly forming on her face.
She goes and sits in front of her dressing table, one of the finest in Olympus, and stares at herself, with horror, shock, and late realization.
"What has happened to me !?" Hera whispered, and she was right to do so, once upon a time the King of The Gods had proclaimed to his wife that her beauty was distracting, not only to himself but to other gods as well, understanding his request, the queen had turned her actual appearance to the form of a 40-year-old, to the looks of a mother rather than a wife.
Hera closed her eyes and although she did hesitate, she slowly raised her hands up, a bluish golden glow emitting from her palm, the glow illuminating the whole room before it gradually dimmed. In the place of a motherly looking goddess, stood a young woman, with glowing honey skin, coffee brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes, whose age could be around 20 to 25 years.
It was as though something snapped inside her, for the Queen stood up, a look of determination on her face.
"I am Hera, Not just the Queen of Olympus, Not just the wife of Zeus, Not just the mother of Ares, Enyo, and Hephaestus."
She took a deep breath, and looked at the broken woman in the mirror,
"I am Hera, Goddess of Women, Marriage, Motherhood, Law, Truth, and Justice, Patron of Families and Women"
