Camila shut the door behind Lauren and leaned back against it for a moment. She took a breath to calm her nerves. Wondering why she felt so nervous around the green-eyed girl, she started cleaning up their mess in the living room.
All day her thoughts seemed to come back to the chance meeting they had that morning. She felt a weird sort of energy with the girl. Good weird, but definitely different than anything she's ever felt about her other friends.
She had been late to meet Matthew when she was rushing out earlier that morning. The time she spent with Lauren made her arrive even later than she anticipated so Matthew was not too pleased when she finally met him at the park.
The rest of the day with him had been off. He was obviously annoyed with her for being late even though she apologized profusely and her being late was a rare occurrence.
They had planned on watching a movie that night but Camila faked PMS cramps and told Matthew they would reschedule.
She arrived back at the apartment complex hoping to run into Lauren but unfortunately was not in luck. Sighing she headed to her unit and got ready for an exciting night in.
Bra off? Check.
Messy bun? Check.
Comfy clothes? Double check.
She snuggled up in bed to pull up something to watch on Netflix. She decided to continue her binge watch of The 100. As she was watching she noticed a lot of similarities between Lauren and the badass grounder commander in the show. Both had an intimidating presence. Both had enchanting green eyes. They were both sexy.
'Sexy?'Camila was confused as to why 'sexy' was an adjective she would use. Ryan Gosling was sexy. Matthew was sexy. Lauren was...sexy? Camila couldn't deny it even though she tried to come up with a more appropriate adjective.
Just as Camila was in the middle of her adjective crisis she heard a very loud Dinah tumble in to the apartment and yell for her. When she went to go see what her drunk friend wanted she came face to face with none other than the sexy girl herself.
Camila managed to keep it under control for most of the night. As they all hung out eating pizza and talking about nothing in the living room, she couldn't help getting lost in the way Lauren talked. Even when she was arguing with Dinah over something stupid, arms flailing about like a lunatic, she was undeniable still sexy.
Camila saw Lauren looking at her a few times but she thought Lauren was just paying her some attention to be polite. Or maybe she was trying to figure out why Camila kept staring at her. At one point Camila couldn't help but lean in to Lauren when she was wiping pizza sauce off her lip.
Lauren's touch sent something through her body. She wasn't sure how to define exactly what it was, but she liked it. She wanted to feel it again and unconsciously starting getting closer to Lauren.
All of a sudden Dinah rudely interrupted and Camila was brought back into reality. Lauren practically fled the scene after that. She obviously didn't want to spend any time alone with the younger Latina.
So now Camila was laying in bed wondering what would have happened if Dinah hadn't been there. Would they have kissed? Why didn't Matthew come to mind during that whole interaction?
She felt bad that she might have done something to hurt him. She also felt excited at the thought that her lips had almost touched Lauren's. She didn't know what to do about all these feelings she was having and it scared her.
