Headcanons about Victorian AU where Dazai is an earl

•It's 1892, London

•Dazai was raised by Mori, a wealthy and well-known duke, who was rather close to the queen. This way, Dazai was well-educated and has always been used to the secular life. I kinda imagine him, having a lot of common things with Dorian Grey tbh.

•Mori is now searching for a wife for Dazai because as you all probably know, people were getting rather early at that time. So a 21-year old handsome earl Dazai, who was loved and adored by almost everyone definitely needed a nice girl to call his wife...for the reputation.

•However, Dazai himself was very against this. He never experienced the feeling of deep and true connection with someone so he basically never believed in such things and thus, he didn't want to get married. Plus, most of the women, that Mori introduced him to, bored him because they fell for his looks only and never even tried to understand his soul.

•That's why Dazai sometimes enjoyed going to the masquerade parties because he could wear a mask so that his face wouldn't be recognized too much. No one from the people, who he had to face often never visited such places anyway. So that's why, Dazai always visited such private parties to have fun in a certain way.

• However, on one of these parties, he didn't find a prostitute for one night to entertain him or someone to get drunk with. Imagine his surprise, when his eyes caught the most beautiful and gentlest woman he had ever seen.

•He couldn't resist, walking closer to you and trying to talk with you because he knew, that he couldn't let such a treasure go.

•Dazai was surprised at how pure, yet mysterious you were in the same time and he could simply wonder about how did he to discover you in such a place.

•After that night, that you've spent together, eventually ending up leaving that masquerade and traveling all around the city to your most favorite places, you decided that you two must meet again. Because to say that you weren't charmed by Dazai as much as he was charmed by you would be a lie.

•That's pretty much how love bloomed between you two and it only take a few secret dates for you two to quickly get used to each other and go past the line of just two people who were in love. Dazai kissed you for the first time in the garden in front of his mansion, when you were having your 5th date with him, under the moonlight. Since then, you two were now secret lovers

•After this, of course, Dazai made sure that you were invited to all the balls, tea parties or whatever else that either Dazai or Mori organized. So basically he just made sure, that you were by his side almost all the time.

•PDA wasn't a thing at all at that time so holding hands on the balls or hugging was a big no-no. All you and Dazai could let yourself do, when you were in public, was just flirting with each other without much physical contact. However, once you two were left alone in the room, Dazai could never keep his hands away from you~ It felt as if he just craved for the physical contact all that time while there were other eyes on you.

•Despite being so physical with you, Dazai actually never tried to do anything sex-related. Because condoms weren't a thing in the 19th century and Dazai wasn't so careless. But most importantly, he didn't want to desecrate you by taking your virginity without being married to you.

•It didn't take much time until Dazai finally decided to break his own taboo  and when he made you the proposition. He fell too hard for you and he just simply wanted you to be his completely. And of course, you said "yes"

•Shortly, being married to Dazai was a true heaven. You two were deeply in love despite how much time passed, you had 3 kids and there was always love and peace in your life. You just had a dream life...up until the World War I.
