Headcanons about Dazai and his s/o, when the world is ending

•The whole world is literally on fire. It happened because of a terrible new illness, that quickly escalated to an outbreak epidemic. More than half of the world population died in an extremely short time and the rest of the lucky ones, which managed to survive, were now forced to see how everything they've ever loved is now fading away.

•Dazai preferred to stay alone all the time. Partly, it was because it was easier for him to move around the city (what was no longer a safe thing to do) on his own and this way, he could just think calmly and rationally because he didn't have to care anyone. Most importantly though, he simply didn't want to get hurt if he loses someone, who's dear to him.

•That's why meeting you was never in Dazai's plans.

•Dazai meets you in one of the bars, that were still working at such times. A conversation started on its own, naturally and then, you continued talking as if you've known each other for your whole life.

•Surprisingly, Dazai loved talking to you. He loved how you could flirt back, how you seemed so confident and mysterious just like him. And he also loved how gentle your touches were, when he held your hand while asking you for a double suicide and how nice your laugh sounded.

•Then, he also met you at this same bar a couple of times again and long story short, Dazai fell for you faster than he realized what happened.

•He was hella scared of this feeling at first. Because of how this has always been a great taboo for him and breaking it felt terrifying to him.

•It took him quite a long time, filled with trying to get rid of this feeling and kill it inside of him which was pointless, until he finally accepted it and decided that maybe having you by his side wouldn't be too bad for him.

•That's why he asked you out next time he met you. And ofc you agreed.

•Dazai took you on the very safely planned tour around Yokohama to see the places, that you would never discover on your own. The city was almost empty so it was basically all under your feet so you could do whatever you wanted.

•Your date ended up on the top of the highest skyscraper in the city so you could enjoy the stars and the cool wind. While you were staring at the skies, Dazai was simply staring at you, realizing how your smile will always shy brighter, that the light of a million suns.

•That night was the night, when you shared your first kiss and that's how you started dating.

•Dazai insisted on you, moving in with him and you agreed almost immediately. Just as him, you didn't want to waste any minute and spend as much time with him as possible. After all, who knew what would happen tomorrow and you wanted to share as much kisses with him as possible in the time, allotted to you two.

•You spent each moment with each other, telling each other stories about your life before the end of the world started and missing those times in each other's embrace. Dazai slowly opened up to you about his past and he didn't mind sharing everything with you because you opened up to him completely too and he was very surprised at the light feeling he got after sharing.

•Dazai is very attentive as to using contraceptives because last thing you two need is a baby right now. However, this doesn't mean that steamy times are rare for you two. Speaking about that, Dazai is very gentle with you, always going slow and taking his time in worshipping your body. But sometimes, things can go wild.

•I think, that eventually as the epidemic will get worse, you two will end up immigrating to Australia or New Zealand because these countries are quite far from the other countries so the illness isn't supposed to spread there this much...for now.

•Anyway, now that you have each other, you don't care about where to live or how to live. You only needed to be together and if you were, nothing else mattered.
