Qui-Gon went out to look for fresh water and left his trusted Padawan to look after the young Duchess of Mandalore. They were running low on food and water at a dangerously quick rate. Despite these circumstances the young Dutches stayed positive and tried to enjoy life while it lasts.

Qui-Gon had noticed his Padawan getting attached to the young Duchess and found getting water as the perfect excuse to give them some alone time, in order to figure things out.

Satine wasn't looking forward to going back to Mandalore. She found herself in love with the young Padawan and feared, that if she went back home, she'd never see him again.

Currently, they stopped on a quite green planet, she couldn't remember what it was called, but it was very beautiful. She sat outside the ship on the ground, with her legs tucked to her chest, admiring the night sky and loosing herself in her thoughts.

The stars were shining brightly which accompanied the single moon this planet had. She just sighed while staring at it, not sure how to handle the situation she found herself in.

She didn't hear the foot steps coming from inside the ship until she heard an, all too familiar, voice. "Are you alright Satine?" Obi-Wan asked before kneeling down to her level. Her dilemma was written all over her face, not to mention it was radiating with her force signature. "Yes, just thinking," she paused for a moment and looked back at the sky "it's a beautiful night, don't you think?"

Obi-Wan sat next to her, he looked at her face one last time before looking up at the sky with her. "Yes it certainly is," it was his turn to pause, he was debating whether or not to say his next statement, but before he knew it, it slipped out. "Yet it doesn't compare to your beauty."

Satine looked at her feet blushing, Obi-Wan was very sweet and he always made her heart flutter with his compliments. "Thank you Obi, you're too kind," she replied smiling, which made Obi-Wan's heart skip a beat.

They sat in silence for a few minutes, enjoying each other's company and admiring the stars. "I've been thinking," Satine started "Actually, I've been wondering, if I can ask... how do you feel about me?" She asked hesitantly because she knew the answer. The Padawan looked at her failing to conceal a blush, "I..." he began "I love you Satine, I thought you knew. I've told you before." He said rather bashfully, rubbing the back of his neck, he thought pointing it out was a little rude.

He knew attachments were forbidden but he couldn't help this feeling, he still felt embarrassed to say it out loud, though. He was considering to leave the Jedi order for her, to marry her and spend the rest of his life with her. If she asked him to stay with her.

"But why? I don't understand what you could possibly see in me," she said, despite being a Duchess, she felt like she had a lot of flaws, like no one would love her because they'd consider her weak due to her pacifistic beliefs. "Because..." he stopped he had to think, he wanted to word this exactly right or at least as close as to what felt right. "Because, you're smart and wise, you stick to your beliefs despite others trying to take your life, you're strong for wanting to rule Mandalore despite what's going on, you're determined to give your people a good future, you put others before yourself. I could continue this list forever because I love everything about you." He stated, again, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's hard to put into words," he concluded and he felt quite happy with how he worded it, overall.

Satine was stunned, she loved Obi-Wan for everything he was as well. She looked at him and smiled, almost crying from joy.

The Padawan noticed her shiver from how cold the night was and from how thin her clothes were. He took off his cloak and put it around her, giving her a smile as he did so.
