The Dark Streets

Chapter Eleven

I saw Tony on the left of Lucas again and I walked up in front of him and Maria was in front of Tony,
"So what did you and Mark come up with?"
"It's going to be a five man operation, we will be disguising ourselves to get into their hideout, okay so Jack and Mark will be the ones going in and taking care of all the captains, there's about five of them, one at each direction north, south, west and east, Jack you will take care of the north and east captains and Mark will take care of west and south captains, so Jack will take care of the right side and Mark will be taking care of the left side, as for me, Tony and Maria will be making sure no one knows us being there and offering support, so what do you think of the plan?"
"I like it." He looked at Tony and Maria for aproval, they nodded,
"I like it."
"Me too."
"Okay let's get going!" We got out of Lucas' office and walked down the stairs and left the hideout and we got into the van, I hot in the driving seat and Lucas got in the passenger's seat and Lucas and Maria and Mark got into the back seats, I turned the van on and I started driving out of the parking lot and down the street and towards the countryside, after driving a while we reached the countryside,
"So Mark, where am I going?" Mark looked out his window,
"Go right at the next street." I kept driving and turned right at the next street,
"This better not be a fucking trap Mark!" Mark chuckled,
"Even after all these years, you still don't trust me?"
"No, I trust you, this just seems like a trap." We reached the end of the road, "okay Mark, where the fuck do we go now!?"
"We have to walk from here." I turned the van off and we got out of the van, "follow me." Mark started walking towards a forest and we started following him, we reached the forest, Tony looked back at me,
"This place is fucking creepy." I nodded,
"I agree, feels like we're being watched." Tony looked around,
"Maybe there is."
"Maybe." We reached a part where there was two different paths we could go, left and right,
"So what way now Mark?" He looked left and then looked right,
"Let's go, right." We started walking down the right path,
"We're not far now." We reached the other side of the forest, there was a cabin,
"Is that were it is?" Mark shook his head,
"No, it's underneath." We started walking towards the cabin, we reached the cabin and Mark opened the door, it was an empty cabin, it looked like no one has ever used it since it was built, Mark reached a door with a keypad on the wall beside the door, Mark pressed four, seven, two and the door unlocked and he opened it and we walked down the stairs, we reached another door, Mark turned around, "behind this door is the Blue Brothers hideout, Jack you will be going right and I'll go left and we need to pick who's going with who, right?" I nodded my head,
"Yeah, I'll take Tony and Maria." Mark nodded and smiled,
"I guess that leaves me with Lucas." Mark opened the door and him and Lucas went left and me and Tony and Maria went right, I looked at Maria,
"So do you think this is a trap?" She looked at me,
"I'm not sure, I don't think so, he has a real reason to hate them." I nodded,
"Yeah, I agree." We reached the office for the east captain, Tony walked up to the door, I reached the right hand side and Maria reached the left hand side, I opened the door and Tony and Maria started shooting and I looked in the room and looked at some of the people in the room and I saw my target, the east captain, I aimed my gun at him and shot at him,
"There's someone else shooting at us... Fuck!" Two other guys started shooting at me, I shot one of the guys in his throat and blood started squirting out of the hole in his throat, the captain looked at his men, "spread the fuck out!" After he said this the guy on his left went further left and the guy on the right moved more to the right, and he moved right in front of me, I aimed my gun at him,
"Time to meet your maker fucker!" I shot him in the head and his body dropped to the floor, Tony shot one of the captain's men in the head, and Maria shot the other in his testicles, she looked at me and Tony,
"And that's why you don't fuck with me!" I smiled and nodded,
"Duly noted." Tony looked at me,
"Don't puss her off." We left the office and started walking down the hallway towards the north captain's office, just then an alarm went off,
"What the hell happend!?" Just then a group of men with Lucas came towards, the man in front was Mark,
"Put your fucking guns down!" I looked at Tony and Maria and nodded, we dropped our guns and kicked them towards Mark,
"Why are you doing this Mark?" Mark motioned for three of his men to grab me, Tony and Maria,
"Did you honestly think I was on your side, brother? Didn't Maria warn you?" He led us to the main office, it was empty and he threw us into separate cells, "did you know that this place use to be used by the police during the prohibtion, they would lock up rum runners in here but now we use them to put dogs like you guys in here." I looked at Mark,
"How long have you been working for them Mark?" Mark walked up to my cell,
"I have to thank my brother, God rest his soul... But he had to die, he was becoming, what's that word?... Oh yeah, guilty of what he was doing, so I killed him, but enough talk." He walked to his desk and sat down, "you guys should try and get some sleep, you're going to need it." He got up and left,
"Jack can you hear me?"
"Yeah I can, Maria."
"How about you Tony?"
"Yeah I'm here."
"Lucas you there?"
"Yeah I'm here, but how the fuck are we getting put of here?"
"I think it's best that we don't he's probably going to bring us to the real hideout." I laid down on the bed in my cell and closed my eyes. I awake to the sound of my cell bars being banged,
"Time to get up Jack." Mark pulls out a cell key and unlocks the cell and opened it and he came and he put a hood on my head and he pulled me with him, "okay, let's go guys and be careful of that one... She bites." We walked down the hallway and out of the bunker, and out of the cabin and Mark opened a van door, and I heard three people being thrown into it and then I was thrown in, the van turned on and started driving. After a while, the van stopped and turned off and the door opened, and we started walking and then we stopped and the van turned off and then Me, Tony, Maria and Lucas were thrown out of the van and we landed on the ground and we got up and then we started walking, I then heard beeping, and then I heard a click sound and a door being opened and then we started walking again, then we stopped and I then heard a cell door open and my hood was ripped off and I saw a small dirty cell and I was pushed in it, and the cell door was closed behind me and I turned around and looked at Mark, "I'll be back and when I do I'll have a nice surprise for you." I turned around and sat down on the bed,
"So you know the surprise he's talking about Jack?"
"I think so."
"It's her isn't?"
"Yes, I think he's going to show me her, he's going to show me Willow." I heard footsteps walking towards my cell, I got up off the bed and walked to the bars and saw shadow of three figures and then the figures stopped moving and I heard mumbling and the figure in the middle started walking again and then I saw him, the man I shot and killed, Mike Harris, my eyes grew wide and I slowly walked backwards and sat on the bed,
"What's wrong Jack, it's like you saw a ghost... Well I guess you have... You probably have some questions for me." I nodded,
"Yes like how the fuck are you alive, I shot you in the fucking head!" He pointed to his forehead,
"Yes that's true but here I am standing." He pulled out the cell key from his pocket and unlocked the cell and opened it, "come with me, we have lots to talk about." I got up off the bed and started walking with Mike down the hallway, he reached a door and opened it, and we walked in and I sat down on a chair and Mike closed the door and sat down in front of me,
"So how'd you do it?" He smiled,
"I think you know how."
"I don't know, why don't you enlighten me."
"Well I think your friend Stake knows." I stood up,
"How do you know about him? Stake! Come out now!" Just then Stake appeared in front of us,
"Just for the record Jack it wasn't me."
"If it wasn't you, then who was it?"
"He called himself, Drogoth." Stake looked at Mike,
"Did you just say Drogoth!?" Mike nodded,
"Yeah why? You know him?" Stake nodded,
"Well Drogoth is known in the Ether Dimension as the Overlord, if he brings you back, it's for a purpose, that purpose is usually to help with his ultimate goal of merging the Ether Dimension and our dimension together, which could very catastrophic but I want to use the powers of the Ether Dimension to better mankind and evolve the species." Jack looked at Stake,
"Why didn't you tell me this Stake?" Stake looked at me,
"Because I didn't want Drogoth to find out... But now he's moved his plan forward and it's time we moved forward with ours." He looked at Mike, "you think you can help us Mike?" I looked at Stake,
"Are you fucking insane!?" Stake grinned and nodded,
"Well yeah, of course I am, but I think he can help us because no doubt Drogoth is using him to further his goal." Stak looked at Mike, "did he say anything to you after he revived you?" He stood up,
"The only thing he really said to me was that he wanted me to be a pawn for a plan he's working on and that he would contact me soon but I haven't heard from him yet... I can help you guys." I looked at Mike,
"Why the fuck should I believe you!" Mike looked at me,
"I don't expect you to believe me." He looked at Stake,
"You can tell if I'm telling the truth, can't you?" Stake looked at him,
"Yes I can but that requires me to go inside your mind." He nodded,
"Do what you have to do." Stake put his hands on his head and he disappeared, and Mike's eyes turned white and then he collapsed on the ground and so walked to him and knelt down,
"Mike! Stake! Can you hear me?" Stake then appeared beside me,
"He's telling the truth Jack, he actually fears Drogoth." I stood up and Mike's eyes went back to normal and he stood up,
"See I told you Jack, I want to stop him as much as you and Stake."
"What about your fellow Brothers?"
"Well me, Mark and the other three are the only ones here, Mark will follow me and the other three are... Well their expendable to oh it bluntly." I nodded,
"Okay, sounds good." Stake disappeared back inside my mind, Mike walked up to me and put his right hand on my shohlder,
"Time to get out of here." He handed me my gun, I took it from him and I cocked it and put it inside my jacket pocket, and we walked out of the room, and started walking towards the cells, we reached the cells and Mark was in front of Maria's cell and the other three were standing guard in front of the entrance, the three men started walking towards us, me and Mike pulled out our guns and the three men pulled out their guns,
"Sir what are you doing? This isn't the plan." Mark pulled out his gun,
"Mike, what the fuck is going on here!?" Mike aimed at the guy in the middle and shot him in the head and he dropped to the ground and I shot the guy on the left in the neck and blood started squirting out of the wound and fell to the ground and the other guy dropped his gun and fell to his knees,
"Please don't kill me." I walked up to him,
"Do you have a family?" He shook his head,
"No." I put the barrel of my gun to the side of his head and pulled the trigger and he fell to the ground, I put my gun away and Mike walked up to Mark,
"Mike, what the fuck is going on!?" Mike took his gun,
"Mark, trust their not the bad guys." Mike pointed to the dead guys, "they are." Mark nodded,
"Okay, their going to come after us, I hope you know that." Mike chuckled,
"Let them." Mike looked at me, Tony, Lucas and Maria, "we'll be prepared." He unlocked the cells, "Mark get their guns." Mark nodded and walked away, I looked at Tony, Maria and Lucas,
"Now guys before you get angry, Mike is on our side." Lucas looked at me,
"Have you gone completely fucking insane!?"
"No I haven't, I have someone for you guys to meet and he'll help you guys understand." Just then Stake appeared beside me,
"Hello I'm Stake, pleasure to meet you all." Lucas, Tony and Maria had a look of disbelief on their faces and Mark came back with their guns and saw Stake,
"Hey, who's this and where did he come from?" Mark handed Tony, Lucas and Maria's guns to them and Stake turned around and looked at Mark,
"Hello Mark I'm Stake and I came from Jack's head but before that I came I came from a place known as the Ether Dimension." Mark just stared blankly at Stake,
"This is a joke right?" Tony, Lucas and Maria shook their heads,
"Nope."
"No."
"Not at all." Stake looked around at all of us,
"The reason I appeared to you all is because the Overord of the Ether Dimension, Drogoth is here in your dimension and is influencing it with his power so he can merge the two dimensions together, he brought Mike here back from the dead and is using him as a pawn in his plan but I looked deep into his mind, and the fact is that Mike fears him and Drogoth was using that fear to control him, but Mike wants him gone and that's where me and Jack come in."
"So you're telling me that there is another dimension called the Ether Dimension and the Overlord of this dimension is named Drogoth and he brought Mike back from the dead and is influencing our world to merge it with his own?" Stake looked at Lucas and nodded,
"Yes, if you still don't believe me, ask Jack and look at the scar on Mike's head." Lucas looked at me and I nodded,
"Yeah, I shot Mike in the head and I watched him die." Lucas looked at Mike and he nodded and moved his hair to reveal the scar on his head, Lucas, Tony and Maria's eyes grew wide,
"My god, this is fucking insane but I believe it." Lucas looked at me, "so what do we do now?" Stake disappeared back into my mind and I looked at Mike,
"Well what do we do?"
"Well the Blue Brothers will no doubt be after us soon, but I have somewhere we can go, so let's waste no more time and get going now." We started walking out of the bunker, and we reached the van and we got in and Mike turned on the van and started driving away from the bunker and reached a street and started driving down the street, I looked at Mike,
"So you have a hideout that the Blue Brothers don't even know about?" Mike nodded,
"Yes."
"By the way, if you're not in charge of the Blue Brothers, who is?"
"I'll let you know when we get to my hideout and Jack, Willow is okay, she wanted me to tell you that." My eyes grew wide and I looked at Mike,
"Where is she? We need to get to her before something happens to her." Mike looked at me,
"She's at the Blue Brothers' hideout and it's heavily protected we need to have a well executed plan." Mike looked back at the road and I nodded,
"Yeah, I know I just don't want her to die." We reached Mike's hideout, and Mike turned off the van and we got out of the van, and started walking towards the building,
"I understand Jack but don't worry, I made sure she was protected before I left." I looked at Mike,
"How did you know about Willow?" He stopped walking and looked at me,
"Well Drogoth told me about her and said that the future of both dimensions is inside of her, so I made sure to have her protected." We continued walking to the building,
"What!? Does that mean she's pregnant?" Mike nodded and we reached the building, and he took out the key from his pocket and he unlocked the door, and we walked into the building and Maria closed the door behind us, we walked into the living room and sat down on the couch,
"Do you guys want a drink?" we nodded, Mike went into the kitchen and came out with a glass for each of us and handed us a glass and he went to his liquor cabinet and pulled out a bottle of brandy and closed the cabinet and poured us each a glass and we started drinking,
"So who's in charge of the Blue Brothers?" Mike put his glass down, and sat down on his chair,
"Well I never actually seen them I've only ever talked to them through the phone and they modified their voice to sound deep but I think I've deduced who they are... It's the city's government, the mayor and the council members, now it's not every council member, only the higher council members." Lucas stood up,
"Wait, wait, so the Blue Brothers is a creation of the Chicago government? Where's your proof?" Mike grabbed his drink and took a sip and put it down,
"Well my proof is that, when I read the history of the Blue Brothers, the earliest members where all cops and one member is the father of our current mayor, Jeff Lawerence, but that's really all I could get, I know it's not much and it seems like a conspiracy but most members of the Blue Brothers are family members, for the longest time that was the only way to join the cult." I stood up,
"I can personally agree with you Mike because for the longest time, I was the leader of the Blue Brothers." I took my last sip and put my glass on the table, "I have one last question Mike, Do you know who the Axeman is?" He nodded,
"Yes I do, and you're not going to like who it is Jack, it's Thomas." My eyes grew wide,
"No it can't be, the last time I saw him I told him to go to New York and wait there for me... I can't believe he'd do this to me, after everything we've been through." Mike walked up to me and put his hand on my shoulder,
"I know Jack I thought the same thing." Maria stood up,
"So what do we do now?" Just then the phone rang and Mike grabbed the phone,
"Hello?" I heard a low and deep voice,
"Hello Mr. Harris, it seems you have betrayed your oath."
"Yeah and what are you going to do about it?" The voice started laughing,
"You think we can't find you, you must think we are fucking stupid! We will find you and kill you!" The line went dead and Mike put the phone down,
"Who was that Mike?" Mike looked at the ground and slowly looked up at me,
"It was 'Them', I don't know how they reached this line, it's a secured line, not even the FBI can get on this line."
"Does it mean they can trace it here?"
"Eventually, but the number is going to trace them to three addresses before it's traced here."
"So we have a limited amount of time before they find us here, we've got to come up with some sort of plan." Tony looked at Mike,
"Do you even remember where their hideout is?"
"I roughly remember where it was, like I remember the surrounding area, like what was around it, I was barely there." I looked surprisingly at Mike,
"If you weren't there, where were you?" Mike looked at me,
"I was where you and Johnathan found me."
"What about the Bower family, what role do they play in the Blue Brothers' plan? I was told by Laura, that they were paid off by the Blue Brothers, is that true?" Mike shook his head,
"No, don't believe what Laura says, she probably told you the Blue Brothers has nothing to do with the Axeman and that's because she has no idea who the real leaders are, she thinks I'm the leader."
"If that's the case, where is she?"
"She's hiding, waiting for my orders, her and ninety other members, and that leads me right into the plan I have." He stood up,
"Follow me, I have a room that's even more secretive so we can discuss the plan." We all got up and started following him, my phone then started vibrating in my pocket, I reached in my pocket and took out my phone and the caller ID said 'Willow', I answered the call,
"Willow, oh my god! You're okay."
"Yeah I'm okay Jack, I don't have much time to say this but... Don't trust Mark, he's not what he seems, he's... He's like Stake but evil."
"I'm at his secret hideout with Tony, Lucas and Maria, he's got a plan to get in the Blue Brothers hideout."
"Don't trust him, play along and make him think you don't know anything but he's going to turn on you guys and make sure your prepared."
"Should I tell the others?"
"No, he'll find out and then you'll all die."
"Okay and I love you Willow."
"I love you too J..." The line went dead, I put my phone back in my pocket and caught up with the others, Maria looked back at me,
"What happened Jack?"
"Oh nothing, just worried about Willow." She put her hand on my shoulder,
"Don't worry Jack, I'm sure she's okay and we'll find her, I promise."
