Chapter 2:
My brother and I were unharmed, but my sister and my dad couldn't survive the gunshots, and died instantly. My mother was connected to a machine because after the gunshot she had to be taken to immediate surgery. Her heart stopped for a while but she survived. She was connected to a machine keeping her alive and if she was disconnected, she would die.
We were talking to the police and telling them how the story went so that they could find the guy who did it. They also told us that as my brother was already of legal age, he could take care of me and we would be given enough money to cover for us for a year or two. Of course it was really hard because he was only a kid and well, after everything that happened we only had each other, and our almost dead mom.
After two weeks we finally decided to disconnect our mom, of course it would be really hard but it was certainly better for her.

The funeral was the worst part, we had to be in the place where they would be cremated and speak in font of every single person who attended, and since it was a triple funeral, the place was full of people, both my parent's friends and my sister's friends. It was so hard when I went to speak and I couldn't stop crying, It was so hard, that my brother had to read my speech:
Dear mom,
I can't believe you are gone, it was just a week ago when we were in the car singing songs and laughing, I can still remember what you told me, you said that it was going to be a birthday I would never forget, and you were right. But I never thought it would be this kind of unforgettable thing. I really hope you are with daddy and Lauren, laughing and taking care of me as you said grandpa did.
I love you,
Dear daddy,
I miss you so much already and I want to thank you for every single moment we spent together, when we would laugh and run and eat your delicious stake. I miss you dad, and I don't have enough words to describe how much I love you.
And finally dear Lauren,
You were the best sister someone could ever have, and even though you had lots of friends, you would always find time to spend with me, together, I will never forget you, and I love you so very much.
After everyone left, we were left with the ashes, each in a different jar. We then headed home.
We lived in a somewhat big house, because our parents used to work in a very successful company and gained good money. We did our best to take as much care of the house as we could and we were given our parents money. As they were both lawyers, they had a will, in case something like a tragedy happened, and when it happened, my brother and I were left with all the money.
I then started to get my Panic and my Asthma attacks, the doctors said it happened very often after tragedies like the one I lived, and that it was very dangerous to my health, I always carried my inhalers and my pills with me. And by that time my life was changed completely.
