Cody has made it a habit to come to the store and bother me. Some times he doesn't even buy anything he just shows up to mess with me.

"Don't you have somewhere to be?" I asked as I walked away from him. As usual he followed me and tried to help put things back in the correct aisle. I don't get what's so hard about putting things back where they belong.

"Nope. Are you trying to get rid of me Snow?" I just rolled my eye and didn't answer. He is around here so much he should just fill out a job application or something.

I continued to fuss at him for messing with me or making jokes about how we would be a cute couple and have cute kids. One word five letters...gross. Donny came out from the back and looked stressed.

"Hey are you okay." He rubbed the back of his neck.

"I just got off the phone with Kelly and she said she needs to talk about something important. It sounded pretty serious." He said

"Relax it's probably not that big of a deal Donny. Don't over think it okay?" I gave him a reassuring smile and he returned it.

"You're probably right. Thanks Snow." We heard a loud crash and both whipped around to see what it was. Cody had dropped some stuff on the ground. He tried to give us an innocent look but failed.

"Oops it's slipped." He did a fake laugh. I tried to hold back my laughter while Donny glared at him

"Don't you got somewhere to be kid?"

Hey that's what I asked!

"Why is everyone trying to get rid of me?" He complained. Maybe cause you're a pain. I walked over to help him clean up the mess he made. He offered to take me to see a movie but I wasn't in the mood to go out so we rescheduled for another day.

After coming in from work I laid on the couch. My dad walked in the living room holding some papers. "Long day?" He asked. I just let out a noise that meant yes. As usual he laughed at me and walked away. Gathering up the strength to finally get up and go to my room. I stripped and went to take a much needed shower.

I came out feeling like a whole new person. A nice hot shower really does a body good. I sat at my mini piano and lifted the top off exposing the white and black keys. I let my fingers just touch them without playing anything.

I decided to play my favorite piece by Beethoven called Moonlight Sonata. It was the first one I ever learned and I fell in love with it. As I played I reminisced on how my grandma introduced me to the piano.

At first I didn't want to play but when she played I had a change in heart. It felt right to have my fingers against the keys, to have the melody travel to my ears. The feeling of it all brought me so much joy. Once you have a taste of something that is beyond anything you have ever imagined you are guaranteed to want more of it.

I can't imagine not playing piano. It's become a huge part of my life. It's become part of who I am. My piece came to a close and I jumped at the sound of clapping. Donny and Dad were standing there with smiles on there faces. I closed the top of the piano and stood up.

"That was beautiful honey." My dad complemented me.

"Dad I played that song over a hundred times already."

"And each time you play it, it's better and better. I won't get tired of hearing you play it Snow." I gave him a hug and he gave me a light squeeze. Donny ruffed my hair and I smacked his hand away. These two really know how to make me feel special. Not many people can say they have a person to brighten up there day. I'm very lucky to have two strong men to look up to. What more could I ask for?

I'm running super late to work. I forgot to set my alarm so I was in a rush to do everything. Practically running through the house and almost knocking my dad over twice. Yes my brother may own the store but he doesn't play. He isn't scared to fire me if I can't get to work on time. Which I understand completely so I'm not one to complain.

I ran into the store, totally out of breathe. "I know I'm sorry I'm la..."I stopped mid sentence and noticed he was talking to someone. I couldn't see the person because he was standing in front of them. He turned around and faced me.

"It's okay Snow. I want you to meet someone. Snow this is Raven, Raven this is my sister Snow." He moved out of the way and a girl came into view.

She had freckles going across her face, her hair was like fire in a bun. Her eyes were so big and a rich brown completion. A lump was stuck right in the middle of my throat. I was stuck looking at her and couldn't say anything.

She raised an eyebrow at me. I finally cleared my throat. "Hi." It came out squeaky and I closed my mouth immediately.

"Hey." I wanted to die right there. Her voice could probably stop a riot. It was so captivating and full of life. My throat ran dry. I needed to stop staring at her so looked at the ground. I pushed my luck and took a glance again at her and she was looking at me too.

"Raven is going to start working here. We could use the extra hands. So I'll need you to show her how we operate okay?" I felt like if I talked my voice would come out weird so I just nodded. He gave a smirk look like he knew what was going on in my head. But boy he had no clue. He walked away leaving me and her just standing there.

Now this is awkward. "Umm I'll show you where you can put your stuff." I walked into the back and she followed me. I felt like she was staring at me the entire way. I stopped in front of the door and she bumped into me. I caught a chill.

I fumbled with the keys to open the door. Oh my god what is wrong with me right now? I finally got the door opened. "You can come in here whenever. The aprons are over there."

She just nodded. I quickly walked out of the room and went to the counter. I let go of a breathe I didn't know I was holding.

Get a grip Snow.
