Excuse my very angsty ass over hear as I try to make a very lovely angst. :')

Roman knew that he shouldn't act this way, teary-eyed and just overall sore. He knew that he didn't exactly have the right to be sad. It was all his fault and everyone else knew it. He didn't know what came over him, was it because he got drunk that night and things changed?

No, he wouldn't do such thing when he was drunk. He had Virgil. Emphasis on the word had. Virgil was the light of his world, his everything. He knew it was going to be a task to love someone, especially when that someone is the literal embodiment of anxiety. When he asked Virgil out, Virgil looked kind of skeptic about it but agreed anyway.

It took some time but they eventually ended up together. Roman felt like the happiest trait in the entire universe, but their relationship wasn't exactly the smoothest. It always ended up in fights, commonly about the simplest of things that Thomas does in his daily life.

Even Patton had taken hiding in Logan’s room and that was already saying something because Logan never allowed anyone in his room. Roman sighed much more as he felt the tears gather once again.

Shaking off the thoughts, he walked out of his room and entered the common room, immediately regretting his choice. Virgil and Logan were seated there cuddling like the couple they now were. Roman avoided looking at them as they held their gaze, he knew that he must've looked like a big mess. Who wouldn't, after a big heartbreak after all?

He brisked walked to the kitchen and saw Patton there, humming softly as he made his very yummy cookies. Roman sighed softly and ignored him as well as he grabbed the tub of ice cream from the fridge.

He felt a hand land on his shoulder and he turned, looking at a very concerned Patton. “Are you okay, kiddo?”

Roman gave a loud dry laugh that caught the attention of the other two on the couch. “Am I okay?! I'm great, fantastic even. So yeah, I'm fine.”

“Please, it's been weeks, Roman–”

“I can't, Patton! No matter how hard I try,” Roman yelled, making them all flinch at his volums. He gave a soft sigh as tears started flowing out of his eyes. “Don't you think I've been trying…? I hurt him, I hurt the only one I love, Patton. And it hurts me seeing him with someone else because I fucking love him!”

Patton didn't bother try to make a move to scold Roman for his use of language. He immediately tried to comfort him, which ended up with him being pushed back as Roman walked back to his room quickly.

“I knew this would be the outcome…” Virgil whispered softly. Patton and Logan’s heads turned to him for further explanation. “He really does love me, but… I feel so bad for loosing interest! He did try so much to give me the best.”

“Virgil, none of this is your fault. He just… has to move on,” Logan said softly, placing a hand reassuringly on Virgil’s. Virgil smiled softly and sniffled, cuddling more into his side.

It took a few more weeks for Roman to be back to his cheerful princely self. But everyone knew better that he exactly wasn't because behind that big smile was a big broken heart that has been shattered.

It didn't have much of a reason to beat after his love left him. When Logan and Virgil acted like a couple, they would always see Roman’s eyes immediately tear up. They would always ask if he was okay and the same answer was, “I'm good, just happy for you–the both of you.”

That was him by day, but by night, the other three would sometimes sleep over at Patton’s room, as they hear Roman’s loud cries of desperation.

“How I wish I told him how much he meant to me when he still loved me!” He cried out that one night, making Virgil choke out a sob.

“I-I loved you too…”
