Unexpected Surprise: Mulan 2

New Plan

Luna's POV

Mulan made it back up the rope and over to us. Where Typhoon and I help pull her back onto the ledge. It starts to bucket down with rain, with thunder and lighting. The others all take shelter while the three of us remain on the edge. Mulan holding Shang's sword while Typhoon and I stand either side of her.

"Ahh!" Mulan shouts as she stabs the sword into the ground. She falls to her knees sobbing while still holding the sword. I kneel beside her, hugging her close.

It soon stops raining and neither of us has moved from our current positions. Mulan has stopped crying so I stand and approach Typhoon. "What do we so now Typhoon?" I ask as he's now the new leader.

"Li Typhoon, we're ready to go through with the wedding" Ting-ting states. The other six had walked over to us.

"No. Your orders are to take care of each other" he states and whistles. His mare runs over and he mounts her. "Mulan, you're en-charge. Luna be safe and protect our unborn baby. I must find Shang's body. I'll meet you in Qui Gong" he explains.

"Ok, be-careful" I say and he kisses me deeply before leaving. "So what's the plan Mulan?" I ask her.

"Typhoon's right, you need to protect yourselves" she states standing up.

"But..." Sue goes to protest.

"Losing Shang will not be meaningless. No matter what it takes, I'm finishing this mission" Mulan states. I knew what she was going to do. She was going to offer herself in the princesses place. So that they can have their happy ending.

"I won't let you go to Qui Gong alone, besides Typhoon said he'd meet me there" I tell her. Mulan sighs knowing she can't argue with me. I hug the others goodbye while she mounts Khan. "Take care of each other" I tell them before mounting Zeus.

"Lets go Luna" Mulan says and we take off at a gallop.

"Mulan are you sure you want to do this?" I ask her as we exit the mountain pass. "Once you marry one of his sons, there's no going back" I tell her.

"I'm sure" she tells me.

"I just don't want you to throw your life away, Shang wouldn't of wanted that" I tell her.

"Well he's not here anymore and has no say in the matter" she states. "Just let me do the talking and back up my story" she tells me.

"Of course, but I pray for a miracle" I tell her. "I hope Typhoon is ok" I say.

"He's a great warrior and doctor, he'll be fine" Mulan assures me. "There's Qui Gong" she states and we gallop again into the city. We taken to see Lord Chin straight away.

"What do you  mean they're gone?" he demands when Mulan finishes her story.

"As my sister has explained my lord. There was an accident, Lord Chin. The royal carriage fell in the river and was destroyed" I tell him.

"A grave loose" he says. "But it does not alter my agreement with the emperor. And unless it is honoured, I will sanction no alliance with the Middle Kingdom. A marriage was promised" he reminds us.

"And a marriage there shall be" Mulan assures him. She steps forward. "I would be honoured to wed a prince of Qui Gong" she says bowing.

"You?" Lord Chin questions and one of his advisors steps forward. They whisper to each other before the advisor steps away. Lord Chin turns back to Mulan. "This is not what was agreed. However, the Golden Dragon of Unity smiles upon you today. And in view of the tragedy, I will accept your offer. You will make a fine bride for my eldest son, Prince Jeeki" he states smiling.

A pair of double doors open to reveal a boy playing with some sort of finger tube. He notices us and hides it behind his back smiling innocently. "This is her? She's so old" he says and I sigh.

"My lord, I shall help my sister prepare" I tell him.

"Yes, there is a lot to do if they are wed tonight" he states. "But might I ask where your husband is?" he asks.

"We passed a town on the way here and there were many there sick. He stayed behind to tend to them. Saying he'd meet us here" I partly lie.

"Of course, now go and help your sister prepare" he tells me. Mulan and I escorted to a chamber. Where clothes, accessories and make-up were already waiting. I get started on helping her get ready, taking my time. Still praying fro a miracle to stop this union.
