Always (The story of Liliana Minerva Snape)

Liliana's Summer-cont.

Severus for nearly half the summer "slept" in his daughter's room, Remus had to go through two more excruciating moon cycles, but this time he had a stronger wolfsbane and Liliana whom could transform into her animagus for company. Though he would tell Liliana that he would "sleep", he was always quietly reading  or receiving the latest request from Dumbledore throughout the night. The nights were so ominous throughout the last week Liliana was here at Spinner's End. He initially  denied Liliana from  Lucius and Draco's invitation for her to see the Quidditch world cup on Saturday and was to stay at the manor for the last two weeks. However, Dumbledore advised Severus to allow her to go.

He opened the drawer within his desk and looked at the small envelope. Inscribed on the front was his name that was only said by his darling wife:

He opened the letter. He was furious that Dumbledore did not give him the letters sooner, one letter for him, another for Liliana, and the last for Potter. He need the strength of what his beautiful wife had to say thirteen years ago in order to go through with Dumbledore's latest assignment, rejoining the death eaters when the time was right. He Read:

My loving husband and father to my adorable daughter, Liliana, if you are reading this my love, I have probably been gone for a very long time. I hope you are not bitter for I knew that I would not have been with you for as long as you wished. Sev, just remember to be careful, I love you and our daughter. (She is probably so big by the time you're reading this, I told Dumbledore not to give it to you until you were in need of my words.) Sev, I must tell you that you protect our daughter and Harry for as long as you can. It probably will be hard at times but, know that I will always be with you, in your Heart.

Severus with tears in his eyes folded the note and as he rose from his seat, his arm began to burn. Severus winced in pain, the door opened and Remus stood in the entry way. Severus quickly wiped his tears and held his arm to numb the pain.

"It was from Lily, wasn't it?" Remus asked still standing in the entry way of the study. Severus nodded as another surge of pain went through his left arm.

"I thought you were asleep?" he said as he held his arm.

"I was, or at least I tried, the moon still has a powerful impact even if the cycle is almost over." Remus stated " I knew you would still be awake." Another surge of pain went through Severus left arm, enough to almost make him fall. Remus soon caught him a placed him in a chair. "It's happening isn't it, He's coming back." Severus looked up at him with a worried look on his face and nodded reluctantly.

"We best be ready." Severus said to Remus.
Liliana woke that morning to Oleg on the bed beside her, the bird had two letters on his leg. She lazily took the three letters and Oleg once free of the Letters flew like a true post owl. It was both Draco and Harry.

Draco wrote to excited that she would be coming over to the mansion and the Quidditch World Cup that would happen in less than a day. He commented on the latest news of the Quidditch World cup and how the Weasleys were going to be there as well.

Harry on the other hand wrote how Dudley didn't make the grades and was a bully within his school and how this led to the consequence of the entire family going on a diet. He asked that if I had anything to send it to him. He of course was not gonna survive the summer eating a sixteenth of a carrot and grape. (That Letter of course was two weeks late, poor Oleg.)

The last letter was surprisingly on time, Harry told her the dream he was having of You-Know- who and Worm tail and someone else. He also told her how Ron's dad got Quidditch World Cup Tickets and the Dursleys actually are letting him go. He will be away from the Dursleys two weeks earlier than usual. It was exciting.
