Jarahn's POV

I've just started doing this awhile now and it's not easy. You'd think adults would go easy on you since you're only 13 but they don't. They punch you the same way and shoot you the same way. And that is what I hate about this. I always leave in one piece but always come back with new bruises. I think about giving up but if I do, who will help this city? Yes, I know. I'm too young for this. But give me a break! I turn 14 next month. But if anyone where to ask about me, or how I live...I'd say I'm normal.

WHAM! The locker slammed shut and I look to the right and find Jaliyah smiling at me. She places her hand on my shoulder and I wince slightly. "Ouch!"

"You always come to school sore." She says.

"I workout a lot." I lied. Only I know what I do everyday and I keep it a secret. I know some people would probably ask how I maintain this, and a crime fighting life. It's not easy. It takes a lot of confidence, concentration, focus, and sleep. Lots of it.

"Well try to go easy Batman." Jaliyah laughs. I manage a smile and begin to speak.

"Oh please, He's a fictional character, if anything. I'm the real thing." I watched her laugh, if only she knew that I wasn't lying. And maybe I'm not Batman, but I'm for sure Robin.

"Let's head to class before we're late." Jaliyah says, I quickly close my locker and she then pulls me by my sore arm into math class. And don't even get me started on schedule. Homework, then I sleep the rest of the day until my 12 am alarm rings, I then put on my homemade suit and I patrol Origin on the rooftops, If I'm lucky I have a peaceful night and I go home with 5 hours of sleep. I usually deal with 5 incidents a night, which really steals time, but due to the rest I've had before resting again. I feel energized in the morning.

"Now Jarahn, as my key student I would like you to answer this question." Ms. Charm says. Now, Ms. Charm's class is hard, and I hate math, but if you wanna save your city and complete your homework as soon as possible, you need to focus, and study, and become teacher's pet. But with her, why wouldn't you? She's hot.

"It's 48 Ms. Charm." I say. She smiles at me and turns to the board.

"How do you remember all of this stuff?" Jaliyah asked.

"I study a lot." This time I didn't lie. Every time I lie to her it hurts, so deep down inside. Wishing I could tell her everything, about me and about how I feel. But I don't, and I never will. School eventually ends, and I walk home alone, with the sound of twenty one pilots "jumpsuit" blasting into my ears. I then feel a slight wind on the right side of my cheek, I quickly move to the left and grab a fist, I turn around and I find Nick.

"How do you do it?!" He says as he walks off. I let out a small laugh, he used to be my bully from 1st grade to 5th. I trained myself how to fight in 6th and then trained myself more as life went on. After I beat him up in 6th grade we became friends, and every time he sees me he sneaks attacks me, it helps me stay sharp and remind him who he used to pick on. I already started my homework, so I go home and then finish my last three questions and head to sleep.

9 hours later.... (3pm to 12am)

"I'm flying from a fire, from Nico and the Niners, oh!" Tyler's voice went. I turn off the alarm and sit up. I warm up by punching my punch bag downstairs, somehow it doesn't wake my parents up. After warming up I put on my suit and go back upstairs. I fix my stuff underneath my cover to make it seem like I'm there, and then sneak out through my window. I front flip off my roof onto another and start to patrol Origin City. The city looks beautiful in the night, but that's just a cover up, so many bad things happen at night time, but now I'm here to stop those things, to bring justice to these criminals and hopefully inspire others to help. Huh, maybe I'm superman instead.

"Help! He's got my purse!" The woman yelled. I sigh, petty theft is the biggest things that happen here. It's the worse. I front flip off the roof and land in front of him. He immediately draws out a pocket knife.

"Give up the purse, or you'll never hold anything in that hand again." I say with seriousness in my voice. I become another person when I'm in these streets. There's no time for comical jokes or dumb references. I just need to end this.

"Oh yeah kid? You just look like you slapped on some jammies and decided to call yourself a superhero." The thief says.

"There's nothing super about me." I say, he quickly swings his knife at me, I strafe to the left and struck his face, hard enough to leave him stunned. I grab his wrist and twist it far enough for him to drop the knife.

"AH!" He winced. I twist further and his wrist snaps. "My wrist! You broke it! You bastard, you broke it!" He yelled continuously. I strike his face and he goes out cold, I pick up the purse and turn around slowly, it's the woman he stole the purse from.

"Thank you! Who are you?" She asked. I myself don't even have a name yet so I say the first thing that comes to my head.

"Bye." I say instantly, I throw the purse towards her and run around the building, I then quickly scale it and watch her from the rooftop. She picks up her purse and smiles.

"Maybe there's more good in this city." She says as she walks away while holding onto her purse tightly. That's why I do this, she feels safer, and hopeful now that she knows that someone is out there helping. And I'm glad I could help. I turn on my phone and listen for the police radio I hacked into. Which took a year to do.

"We have a robbery report on 1259th. Send in units." The dispatcher says. I look to my right and I see the robbers, and of course they're armed. I let out a huge sigh and stretch my muscles.

"This is gonna be a long night." I mumble to myself as I start to make my way there.
