It's been three weeks since my heart was shattered by Jaliyah. My father has given my phone back to me and I am now pretty decent at deduction, although I'm still training on the staff. Yes, I know. "It's been only three weeks Jarahn! How have you not finished staff training." It's hard trying to listen to an audiobook and learn staffing skills okay? But, I've mastered controls so that's fun. I'm at the base with Jaden and the gang and we're trying to find Splicer location. He's been quiet since I've revealed my identity to the world.
"And the lab? We haven't been down there in a while." Jaden suggests.
"Ah yes, but it's hard for me to get back in there. They've raised the number of guards and locked down the tunnels." I respond. Jaden nods.
"I'm sorry...what lab?" Lakota asks.
"You've been asleep for quite a while. We have to fill you in." I say as I read the book of deduction.
"No worries, I'll fill her in," Karen says as she munches chips and upgrades software for the tech in the suit.
"Jarahn...you've seemed very different lately, did something happen?"
"I'd rather not talk about it," I say as I turn the page. "Did you know that there are two types of reasoning? There deductive and inductive." I say.
"I get it Jarahn...just don't forget I'm here when you need someone to talk to."
"Yes, I know." BEEP! BEEP! The computer went.
"There's been a homicide down on Vans Boulevard...when did we set alerts for that?" Lakota asked.
"Since today. Jarahn is trying something new." Karen says.
"Shazam," I say as I approach the platform.
"Don't be foolish okay? If the police tell you to go...don't start any trouble." Jaden says.
"Police? The police know about Pulse now?" Lakota asked.
"Karen, please fill her in." I say. I then elbow the button and I'm on my way to Vans Boulevard. I eventually arrived at the scene and I'm immediately scolded.
"Why are you here?" Officer Sam says.
"To help. You don't approve of my methods...so I thought I'd try yours." I respond.
"You? What could you know about murder? Or forensics?" Sam asks. I take a good look at the man and start to speak.
"Blunt force trauma to the head, you guys think it's a been a weapon but it wasn't it was the ground. You can tell by the traces of gravel that was left in the victim's hair. Due to the holes in the victim's shirt, ou can tell that they were stabbed, multiple times." I then reach for the shirt. "May I?"
"Go ahead," Sam says. I then open the shirt.
"Entry wounds. Not from a knife...but, a-" My sentence then stops suddenly.
"A what...?"
"A sword...Splicer, this is his work. He's back."
"Splicer huh? I have a feeling you two have been going at it way before we learned about you."
"You're correct. Sam, you know I don't kill the people I fight right?"
"Yes, but you don't exactly leave them in one piece either."
"I mean, I could do that too."
"Pulse, what are you doing?"
"I don't want the cops against me dude. I showed Splicer to the world hoping you guys would help me out. But you guys are against me..."
